LOL well to add to the struggle, I'm working on a city elf rogue in the toolset!  But I've hit a snag, TMP's new hair (the sten version) won't let me have blonde stubble. So I have blond braiids and dark stubble. Unless I use the vanilla blonde, which is not...BLONDE...lol

LOL, oh yeah, the STEN hair. I always thought of it as the Leske hair! Let me tell ya -- seeing my Brosca and Leske together in origins with the same hairstyle blew my mind. Really made them look like best friends. They're dusters, beating people up, sharing their spoils together, and sporting the same nifty hairstyle to be extra intimdiating to others. I loved it.

And She's SUPPOSED to want Zev, we'll see how it goes. Danged Templar temptation. I'm trying to hold Zev's proposition off until he's past Taliesen, but apparently you have to refuse the tent to get the earring to set the love flag, but if you rfuse the tent he won't ask again, so I'm very confused and plaing in the toolset...lol

Ugh, sorry. That does sound like a lot of planning. I am going to download Charsen's kisses, but I may pass on the dialogue fixes. I know this sounds very shallow, but I was incredibly disappointed with my first Zevran romance after I had gone out of my way to make an elf for him. I was really excited about getting to know him and I had played that whole game and talked to him at the post-coronation, thinking maybe he would finally tell me he loved me and nothing. I thought I messed up somewhere and googled and it turned out that he never says it at all. I felt so robbed by the writing. I bent over backwards to work on that relationship with him, assured him of my feelings for him, and ... just nothing. He was faithful to the end, sure, but it felt like he was just being a loyal dog, y'know? (Hey, I was mad.) I was really peeved with how disasterous the Alistair relationship could be with Landsmeet and the dark ritual and finally I get a relationship with a guy that will stay with me no matter what, but he can't say the words once. I got over it though. Was able to romance him a couple more times now that I knew what to expect. I do hope they'll progress his character enough that he can say it to the warden one day. So even after looking in toolset, what's the point of the dialogue fixes if I'm not going to get the line that I want? Not even a "me, too" or "ditto" if you tell him you love him at the gates? =p

So far, I liked Zevran + elf mage the best. Zevran + CE was the worst, based on how I RPed it. Maybe hardass Brosca + Zev will be the best combo yet. Already an advantage there since I love my dwarves! ;)

Edit: typo

Edit 2: Oh, I am not putting any points in persuade because I totally want to fail the conversation with Zevran about not saving the anvil. He has a funny line about being eternally hard if he were made to be a golem. I tried this last time, but my mistake was having Morrigan in the group so I had to persuade her instead of Zevran.

Uhmm wait, why? Posted Image you can use any combination of colours for regular hair and the stubble/eyebrows, there shouldn't be a limitation like that...

He comes SOOOOOO close at the gates tho with "I...I know that" .  But he does propose, so I can live with that.  It's so polar opposite of Alistair. Alistair says the words but doesn't propose and says it in a bunch of other ways.  I think I like the little ways though. With the fixes, if you don't go to the tent until love you get "My Grey Warden, I'm with you til the end" after.  And that is just...meltworthy.

I don't think I can finish my elf mage. She's just not cicking for me. Caislyn was an amazing playthrough, I just loved her and no others seem to bring out the enthusiasm.  My Dalish rogue is all Alistair. So that leaves my City elf Rogue for Zev as an elf. I did it with a city elf warrior, but I'm just not attached to her at all.

Ok, I'm officially down to Three rogues and a re-finishing mage. Jaina didn't make the cut. I wish there was a mod that made Alistair see you as a guy for characters not romancing him. That would make it so much easier.

It does work better when you get to have the lockerroom, backslapping types of discussions.  Not that Alistair gets terribly lockerroom outside of a romance, either.

People might have seen this banter back when ejoslin first restored it, but I had to lol anyway.  Poor Alistair.  The ironic thing is that Zevran has never really "wooed", either, not for himself, not for keeps.  His own wooing technique has some of the same awkward sweetness that Alistair's has, though different style and subject matter of course.  And Alistair does wooing exceptionally well anyway.  Even if by accident.  ^_^

I love that banter. Sadly it usually hits AFTER I hit love with Alistair leaving me going wait...you wood already? what huh?

I fixed that in my latest party banter -- he has to be in a relationship but not be in love for it to trigger.  I figured if he's in love he's probably already figured out how to woo and is no longer wooless.  The original condition was just if he hadn't made love.  When I originally restored the dialogs, I didn't check for wrong conditions.

party_banter_5 on the ZDF update page!

Edit: I sound like a shill!  But seriously, the restored banters...  I recommend them highly!

I don't know, I tried beating an answer out of the toolset with a hammer but it remained silent on the issue. But if I used the custom blonde, the eyebrow color changed but not the scalp stubble on the very front edge of the forehead.   Once I got in game blonde was fine, so it might just be a visual glitch in the toolset.

My favorite part -- and I love that I can get this on friend playthroughs, too -- is the Talisen encounter where I say, fine, you'll have to kill me and Zevran steps in and says he's not about to let that happen. You can practically see him stepping between the warden and Talisen to reinforce this. You just want to cheer him on.

*glances back at previous page*  Heh, if I could actually squee over Teagan or Ron, I figure I'd have 50% more to do in this thread.  LOL

Somehow I'm squee-deficient.

I stole it all from you.  I'm writing Ron right now, and he just introduced himself and I started squeeing.  At my own writing.  *is pathetic and hopeless*

So the elf hug isn't working out as planned, so it's probably gonna be tomorrow yet for the release. Sorry guys! Human one is up and running though.

Edit: for me not yet available to anyone else

Hey, I'm the same way. I totally get why Teagan is so squee-worthy, but there's a line of dwarven men ahead of him such as Gorim and Kardol. If working on dwarf + Alistair scenes is too challenging, FEEL FREE to work on dwarf + Gorim instead -- no one will object! :D

OMG yes, that part is amazing. And no matter who I'm romancing at the time , when he says "And you should have stayed in antiva." I swear my wardens want to throw him down RIGHT THERE!

Ah it could be the usual issue with the custom named hair tints missing the stubble equivalent. Might try to fix it by making a copy of the custom hair tint file you intend to use, and rename that copy by adding "t1_stb" in the front. For example, if the copy is named "blah_har_red.tnt" then rename it to "t1_stbblah_har_red.tnt" and see if that helps?

I crack up at the idea of the dwarf just giving Alistair a dwarf fistbump at that moment. LOLOL.

So I'm trying to stay away from this thread right now but my Gorim-senses started tingling and I felt compelled to agree. Posted Image

Don't sweat it. No one outside of the dwarf thread would even get why there'd be a fistbump. =p

orrrr if you're an emotionally stunted shrew like my Missa, it's *armpunch* *do up pants* "see you later, salroka." She's a lot easier to write in the regard. My Aeducan overthinks things all the time, and is harder to get into her head- though Alistair is her kyrptonite, pretty much.
