Hardened Alistair is easier to convince to do something morally ambiguous, but he still argues against it, still wants a good reason why, and still gives you sad-disgusted-face.

I got a dubious-but-still-preferring-to-live Alistair... and he wasn't hardened or anything Posted Image

It's the same scene, and he was hardened in my shot.  That's when he's saying, "Alright, let's get this over with before I change my mind."

I don't think it has to be traumatic, but the sense of impending doom of one sort or another is very much over those darkened hallways of Eamon's.  Ritual aside, you're facing the final battle and not likely to come out alive.  The ritual is a desperate gambit, but one way or another, you are probably going to lose each other in the coming days.

Personally I find the scene more jarring if you don't agree to the DR.  Alistair yawning and saying "well, time to turn in" is appropriate for a male Warden or a friend PC, but not his lover.

IIRC, Hardened Alistair takes more convincing. You can pretty much bowl right over unhardened Alistair but using the same approach on Hardened Alistair takes an extra line (and might require a persuade check).

My mage told him (unhardened) everything. Same as I do when he's  hardened. I lead off with "you know I love you right?" and never touched the persuade check or the "If you loved me" line. It didn't seem to take any extra effort at all. in fact it went exactly the same. The line I always go with when he sits at the desk is "do you really want to risk dying tomorrow"

Can someone link me the video of the PC doing the US with the mod?

My mistake.  I just always start off with "you know I love you, right?" or the friend equivalent, and he melts like butta.

This is just the modded scene.  I don't have a video of the whole thing.

Yeah, it worked the same for both versions of Alistair for me using that line first.

DR or not, Alistair hardened or not, it could be their last time together, so I guess it should be something to reflect that...

I agree with this completely. There's just too much guilt and anxiety in sending a man off to war without having that last time. Trust me. I know.

Edit to clarify...the man you LOVE. not just any man.

That is a really good shot of Zev. Is this in Frostback Mountain?

Yeah it is, and thank ya. I didn't want to change him too much. But dang he had a Wynne vibe goin on, and his eyes NEEd to be amber.  I kept all of his character lines, but blended them down just a smidge, made him squint less, but not by much. His character to me, says he should look a little sad sometimes, but he confesses he for the most part enjoyed his life, he shouldn't look so ...old. If you have a positive attitude like he does, it actually keeps you young. That thing at the corner of his lips bigs me though, I dunno how to get rid of it. His eyes still crinkle sexily when he smiles, couldn't take that away:)

Well thankfully it's not a problem anymore. His first deployment it was, he had been home for R&R, I was having "girl problems" as usual, and unfortunately when he went back I couldn't:(. I felt horrible for months. A week later I had a hysterectomy (It was alreay scheduled before he got there) but he was gone by then, had to wait 8 months to make it up to him.

You guys really think sex should be involved after the ritual? Just curious because I don't know if I could...

The hug scenes are awesome. Gave me a warm, fuzzy feel!

I don't really have any to add to the scene after the DR, to be honest. It wasn't something I thought about I was mostly focused on the armies marching to Denerim at first light. After the ritual, it'd be one cutscene after another so it wasn't really something that stood out to me, y'know? What irked me the most was the post-coronation ceremony, how sudden it all seemed to end and how alone the warden was in going out to talk to the crowds. I would not mind if the guard asked you were ready and you said yes, but then there's a "wait" from the romantic interest, having changed their mind and deciding to escort the warden as well. And then doors could open and they walk through the blinding light to the epilogue cards. =p That's just me thinking outloud, ignore my ramblings!

My girl and Alistair wouldn't.  A hug scene, maybe, and people can conclude for themselves what happens after it?

A sad hug scene/comforting scene seems to be most popular for post DR.

No, I'm thinking more along the lines of a sad/ tender cuddle.

I appreciate your sweet intentions, but a hug from Maricstair sounds like a nightmare. Posted Image

Not morning here.  I was "BLARGHH"ing becuase I ahve to work the late shift at work today.  I have to do it twice a month, to cover the phones for our clients on the west coast.  So I'm at work, 2-10pm, and it sucks.

On top of that, I played no DA this weekend....becuase I didn't feel like it.  The idea that I no longer play becuase I "don't feel like it" makes me sad.  I used to play hookie to stay at home and play, and now I "don't feel like it"??  WTF? Posted Image
