So I'm going to to pray that any Zombie Apocalypse zombies are Shaun of the Dead Style (ie shambling and mindless, yet able to play video games), because I haven't much hope against any other type. I would sort of love to bash through hordes with my hippie commune-made walking stick.



I'm gonna blame this lull on BW not announcing anything for DA besides Leli's DLC. Without speculation on something Alistair related on the horizon, it's taken the wind out of our squee.

I know that has lessened my interest in playing.  I've been playing a bit, but also some Oblivion.  My husband has gone back to Fallout 3.  We at least know we'll have some new Fallout material in the fall.

Like I said yesterday, I'm also tired of the Maricstair rage.  I know it's all in good fun, but if I just post a shot without thinking and it provokes a spume of outrage, what's the point?   In general a couple of us have agreed offscreen that people are too critical.  Perhaps if we can lessen the drama, it would encourage more posting.  Just scroll past if you don't like something.  My opinion only, take it for what it's worth.

I've been working on my story (not ready yet, getting there) and reading A Storm of Swords in the evenings.  I hate George R.R. Martin with the heat of seven hells for making me like characters so much and then being so mean to them.  But I can't stop.

See, I felt the same way but I could stop. I might try the series again, but I'm not someone who tolerates relentless horribleness very well.

I don't have Alistair with me half the time on my current game. I have Zev in his spot. Trying to rotate companions I rarely use. Even got Oghren early. So I'm usually running with Zev, Oghren, and Morrigan. Alistair will get his turn eventually, but until then my screenshots are mostly Zev related, so I don't have "on topic" to post.

I spent yesterday playing Velvet Assassin, The Witcher, and trying to get the hang of Assassin's creed.

The problem is that it's not entirely relentless.  You start to think "oh this character is too good to kill off," and then...

It amuses me until it doesn't.  But probably I'm just in a mood, because work is kicking my ass and I'm forced to deal with nitpickers 8 x 5 to make a living so I don't want to deal with it in my squee time.  Vacay is coming up, though it will not be nearly enough to make it worth coming back to my desk.

I do agree that to me, a medieval wartime setting says longer hair for men.  We already know ad nauseum that this isn't how others see it, however!

I found it amusing too, I don't really hate him that much, I just tried to be funny by drawing faces on him, and ended up offending people.

To be honest, that is why I have not done anymore xbox screenies.  The Leliana pictures offended Leliana fans.  The Ron pictures offended people who don't care about Ron.  I like to joke about things, and I am never serious.  But people have taken my jokes personally, so I stopped. 

I think its been a lot less fun all around in the past couple weeks.

Anything can get old after a while, it's just that simple.

I say if Zev can have braids, and even Oghren can take time to fuss with a stylized beard, and Morrigan can do a bun every danged day, not to mention Hello Sten! and Our PC hair, then Alistair can have long hair too. Plus, I really don't want to know how he gets his bangs to stay UP. Mousse surely didn't exist yet...lol

keeping a thread alive with only ONE character is bound to get dull eventually. I mean how many screenshots of the same guy can we possibly make without repeating...lol Xbox screenies are fun! (And I like Ron).  As for Leliana, I can understand where the fans get upset when we set her on fire and such, we hate it when it's done to Alistair too. She's not one of my favorites, so when I get a little out of control with a fireball...I'm amused...lol well, I was, until my mage finished. No more fireballs for me.

It's funny, because Long-haired Alistair seems to get the squee when it comes to a A Midwinter's Thaw. But that might be because he's older. Personally, I don't think the longer hair ages him at all, but I'm biased. 

And I hear you on work. I have flex time in the summer, so I work MTRF from 7:30-6 and take Wednesdays off because going 40 straight is killing me slowly.

See, this is what I don't get.  I mean, I didn't go into the Leliana thread and set her on fire.  And I would honestly think a picture of Alistair on fire or some such would be hilarious. I made a screenie of him getting stabbed by the hurlock in DSC, and it was FUNNY (at least in my head).   Maybe my sense of humor doesn't come across over the internet so well.

Heck, Surely sets him on fire all the time and I personally think its hilarious.  And it's a good opportunity for a little *ahem* comforting afterwards.

I'll be on more in a few weeks when all this thesis nonsense is done.  Was up way past the Eastern time zoners last night, and awake much too early this morning as well.  And then I can post my own screenshots too!  Yay!

BTW, Mel, you can mock me about my Ron love any day.  I can take it.

Read it and found some extremely interesting things in it, and some stupid ones as well.  If you want I can post my 15 page zombie surviavl plan (counting pictures), I made for a grade 11 english project.  I cant believe I did it, but I had escape routes, plans, destinations, and equipment actually planned.  Mostly I was going to my uncle's cabin in Kenora.

I like longer hair on Alistair but I can appreciate others don't like him. I used to be pretty militant about not changing him, now with face replacer I have gone nuts and NO one is the same in my game now.

I am totally excited about this.  And if he's already battling the editors, then it sounds like the book is written?  That would be great!  *is hoping for a reveal to Fiona's child*
