I agree. Of course, I <3 Soris. But, like syl says, much of it is his personality. I made a Soris clone once and it just wasn't the same.

I dont' betray my family so I don't see that kind of scene. It's not in me to play that way, not even as a "What if" scenario. Otherwise hes a hoot as an origin companion. Helpful enough to be helpful and helpless/hopeless enough to let your PC McAwesomesauce fart sunshine out of his'/her ass.

sabreene how would your mother act if you brought a woman with a shaved head home?
You really, really don't want to know. It would be a HUGE double whammy, if you meant "as a girlfriend", since that would mean not only did she have a shaved head, we were lesbians! The world would be coming to an end!!! The amount of shock and awe almost makes me tempted

Hmmm. What other examples? I'm drawing a blank besides that one.
I might think of some more.

I might make a male Cousland anyway, though, to take up Xandurpein's challenge. Marrying Anora... that will be... a challenge.

Oh, I can't do it either. I've seen the toolset dialgoue, though, and apparently everyone hates you both when you return. No one will talk to Soris except Elva the 'they did it!' and when you rescue your own father he makes a comment about how he guesses you didn't want anyone else to scew your family over instead of you. It was all very sad.sylvanaerie wrote...

Actually, I think what's worse is that no matter how you end the slaver quest Shianni forgives you. She's probably the one person that should never forgive you, even more so than the other women. Sure they all likely got raped as well but they weren't lying on the floor crying and bleeding while you and their brother agreed to do nothing even though you two had the power to stop it for money. Having a rescue attempt barge in there and just leave...that's got to be worse than if no one came at all.

It would have to be thats why I can't do something like that, I can't even imagine it. I don't know why anyone would really unless they are playing a complete rat bastard. I coiuldn't even justify it from a "They will crack down on the Alienage if I kill this f*er." So I just figure in for a penny in for a pound...off with his head...Soris is a wimp but he is really sweet. Doubtless he doesn't hae a lot to say because of lack of time with writing *keeping the origin in some time limit of play* not because he's a ******. I stand by my assessment that he;s a sweet, hopeless but attempting to be helpful goofball.Sarah1281 wrote...

He does immediately ask if you're sure you did the right thing and asks what everyone else will think. I think it's the fact that having two people storm the estate is already a really bad idea and you're a much better fighter than he is anyway so if you're going to take the money and leave then it's one guy against four ahd I think that they're all armed as well so he goes with self-preservation. Not his finest moment, certainly, but it was one of those heat-of-the-moment 'I don't want to die' things.sylvanaerie wrote...

I think the option would be a little more bearable if he at least agreed to let Shiani and the others go. The threat of an alienage purge is very real. It would then be your desire for revenge vs the lives of all the elves in Denerim.sylvanaerie wrote...
