I wonder if Morrigan cast a spell on him or something lmao

Did you give Morrigan the Alistair Voodoo Doll? That might explain his evil look.:D

Lmao no, I haven't even gotten those gifts yet on this playthrough. And I never even thought about that. Maybe she went shopping for herself and and got one, that's why he's looking evil lmao

Damn, I have DA Redesigned but can't get the eyes to work on Alistair. Don't know why, maybe because he's already modded. I need to fix the headmorph I'm using. :D

When you go to install DA Resigned, there should be the option of adding them separately.

I tried, several times. Everyone has those eyes - except Alistair. But I'll figure it out. :D

Were you using another eye mod, before downloading DA:R?  like pt's vibrant eyes?

Uh, yes, I have. I thought I read that it works with Dracomie's because he provides a chargenmorph.xml. Are the Dracomie's eyes supposed to appear in the character generation screen? I never found them there but I have a few eyes that are completely black.

Did you use Pt's eye replacer? They both replace the same BioWare eye set, if i recall correctly?

Gossiping! I like how Alistair reacts to being called Jealous by another male, when the PC is in love with Zevran.

My 2nd PC Mage was romanicing both Morrigan and Zevran.

I need someone who did not perform the ritual, alistair is king, and he will die. I need to know what lines appear after he stops you from killing the archdemon.

cmessaz: You have that save of mine.  The 'Alistair Dies' save is no DR, I didn't say anything about the final blow and he will die.

I have a question... How do people generally give Alistair his mother's amulet from a roleplay standpoint? I find it a little weird to just take it out of Eamon's desk.  Oh hello, let me just root through here and help myself...

I've been holding out on it because I was trying not to get his approval too high, but now that he's at 100 that's not an issue and I think I'll save it for after we finish the Ashes quest. I wonder if Eamon would give it to him then.  I guess that would assume, however, that Eamon intended to give it back to him.

I suppose that if you give it to him right when you find it, you could also roleplay that you and Alistair find it together, that he sees it and recognizes it.

I always rp that the study, like the rest of the castle is trashed.  The party takes a minute to sit and heal from dealing with all the suits of armor.  While they're sitting there, my PC notices something shiny and takes a look.  They always go to put it back until they notice all the cracks and Alistair's comment about shattering his amulet against the wall comes back.  So they take it in the hopes they are right.  They figure if they're wrong, they can just sneak it back later.  ^_^

I need more templar Alistair:

Lady Damodred, I LOVE all your screenshots, because your PC looks almost exactly like mine, sans tattoo.  Who needs the PC version of DA to take screen shots, when Lady D can do it for you?? ;)

And do you guys ever sleep?  Posting until the wee hours of the morning, and up early posting again?Crazy kids...Posted Image

Hehe.  I approve of your char, then, Mel.  *high-fives*  And I got like 8 hours of sleep, which is moer than I usually get.  9 AM is not that early.

9am is most definitely not early! I've been up since 7 (I can't sleep past that if I tried, 2 dogs licking you in the face every morning is an alarm closk you can't turn off!). But I was also in bed by 10. Yes, 10 on a Saturday night. I had to turn DA off and call it a night. Doing the fade at night with 2 glasses of wine under your belt is not a good idea....

Has anyone else ever lied to Alistair, about where you found the amulet? You can still get high aprovel by lying to him. I sort of hoped it could change his opinion on Arl Eamon and make him more resentful.

No, I've never lied to him about it. I've never had a character that saw any need to do that.

I'm not sure how I feel about Eamon and the amulet situation. If Alistair is actually Fiona's son than the whole amulet fiasco is a farce, Fiona never owned an amulet of Andraste. If that is the case than the amulet is little more than a prop to cement the lie that was told to Alistair concerning his heritage.

I'm playing a female City Elf who hates nobles and is deeply untrusting towards humans. I'm Romancing Zevran in my new playthrough "Also using ejoslins ZevFix"", but my character is on Friendly terms with Alistair.

You could look at it that way.  I look at it more of the only link Alistair has to a family that might have loved him.  It was something that was important to him, and like he says, he lost it to his own stupidity.  Giving it back to him helps him close that chapter in his life, and get back something he thought he had lost forever.  Whether or not he is Fiona's son, it doesn't change how he feels about it, or the fact that he deeply appreciates the PC restoring it to him.

I'm re-writing a fic about the misadventures of Brand Cousland and post-exile Alistair. It's something I started a while ago and (inspired by A Midwinter's Thaw) decided to update to include stuff from Awakening. So he's mad at me for making him a wandering drunkard, handing his country over to Anora and for still being an all-around BAMF. All this while he's been basically living like an RPG character who has been stuck in the just out of the sewers level of Oblivion for five years.

But someone's going to save him, right?

I've been walking around my house snickering about your naked Thane helmet screen shot all evening.  LOL

I hope someone does. This story didn't have the happiest ending the first time I wrote it.:(

*Thinks of Alistair running around the Market District in nothing but his Thane helmet and is happy again.*

As for Alistair's Mothers Amulet: I have no problem with the rifling through Eamon's desk (maybe my PC wanted to write Bann Teagan a smutty little note and she needed a pen) and I usually give it to him back at camp, immediately following our return from the castle after Connor has been dealt with. Since I've been sacrificing Isolde, it feels a bit like a peace offering; a gesture to indicate that my PC really is trying and, even though she has so much going on, she can remember little things like the amulet because he means that much to her.

Oh, and look what was smiling at me when I checked my mailbox this morning, a nice littleAnders/Alistair/Cousland threesome fic (AMWT universe) plus fanart, terribly NSFW.

There are no words nor any smiley that can possibly convey the awesomeness of that fic, so I'll have to settle for a senseless string of emoticons: <3:blink::devil::wub:Anders/Cousland/Alistair:wub::devil::blink:<3

So if you're friends with Alistair, I would say that takes precedence of the noble and human hating aspect.  He's told you about the amulet, correct?  If it were you, and someone were returning arguably one of the most important possessions you had, would you want them to lie about it?  And would your character be all right with lying to him about something that is so important to him?

@Surely:  I approve of angry, drunk Alistair.  It was my first fic, and I had to give it a happy ending, though I had to go all AU to do that.  If you don't, more props to you.  If you can't give them a happy ending, can you at least give them closure?

My Dalish rogue is very practical thinking, so she takes everything with her, what is shiny and appeared useful. Is it not useful for herself or her companions, she can still sell it to a merchant for mooooney *_* And she had learnt quickly that shiny, silver things = equal with valueable

So basically she took that amulett with her to sell it xD (Hey, she was in the need of a new armor at the time, so yeah :innocent:) but that she took a closer look and reminded herself of what Alistair told her and where she actually had found it. From there on it was just putting one and one together and she thought to give it a shot.

If it had not been THE amulett she would have probably sold it afterwards. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Alistair: Uuuh, a present? For me
Lenya: Yeees. Do you recognize it?
Alistair: It's an amulett , is it? *pause* ...should I recognize it?
Lenya: So this isn't familiar to you?
Alistair: Well it's nice and shiny and all...but no. Still this is lovel-
Lenya: Then forget it. You can't have it. *wanders off to Bodahn*
Alistair: :crying:
