Here's one of my 'girls' as a pup, showing off as usual!

You know what I just realized...I seem to only play Awakenings just past Alistair's kiss-on-the-cheek goodbye. After that I pretty much lose interest <sigh>

So I broke down and ordered Sims 3 stuff and will probably spend most of my long 4th weekend cheerfully torturing wooing Sim!Alistair. I can't wait!

I might! I could have a whole neighborhood of DA sims. It would be fun, especially if I could make Morrigan and Alistair hate each other and get into fights in the park.

Suddenly Sims 3 sounds strangely appealing. I wonder why this is.

LOL There is something fun about recreating characters from movies/shows/books/games and watching the sparks fly. This is how one of my favorite sims, Henry Granger-Picard, came to be.

I was going to bring all the pics from Alistair killing Loghain and getting himself kinged, I had set it all up with fraps, but to make the scene nicer without a flashing number in the corner, i hit the disable button. However I turned off taking pictures, so I have to go back to an hour before to get to a save before it. DAMN.

Pretty interesting actually poor Loghain and Anora. Now I dont think Alistair is wimpy, because damn that was epic.

*fistbump*

I still have to see if I can recreate the Nakie Alistair demolishing Loghain fight.  I wish, wish, wish I had fraps when that happened.  XD

when I spared Logain and made Alistair King (I was in a romance with him-love) at the coronation he was friendly to me..  and it seemed that there was a chance for the relationship to go on.. but at the end game camp he was nowhere to be found.

I've spared him one time. It was my first RP thing, and I hate that character now. When I found out about Loghain's cameo I did it as twisted revenge, that I had something to do with his post in Orlais.

I still feel like crap when I look at her. To me, she betrayed her family, king, Duncan, Alistair, all the elves in the Alienage, everyone touched by Howe's treachery, because she didn't execute the man who abandoned the wardens and the king then rewarded that villain at every turn.

She never even made it to Awakening to see his cameo.

Now mind you, that playthrough was one of my really early ones, and I didn't pay much attention to what I was hearing. It wasn't until I started redoing things and slowing down that everything kind of hit me at once, then I couldn't look at her.

The discussion has thankfully moved on but this is exactly why I don't do a "just to see it" spare Loghain run.  I put so much effort into my PCs and if I end up doing something that feels hollow and false, it makes me dislike them and that's no fun.

"Just to see it" is what YouTube is for.

Posted Image Of course you did!

I had a coupon for the EA store and World Adventure was only $19.95, so I just went for it. I dread trying to get my mods and stuff updated, but I think it will be a fun distraction.

Alistair dreads what I might do to him:

Sooo.... did we get the EF first night yet and I missed it, or is that still on the way?

Dahlia spends a lot of time making her scenes perfect. It is beautiful as is now but she won't release until it is perfect. When she updates I will!

She's my hero!  I'm not being impatient (much Posted Image), just didn't want to have missed it.  I assume I would have heard the squee echoing off the walls, but it's been more dead lately so maybe not.

LOL ! I love your drawn on bra.

This is my fav, getting Zev's scene with Alistair & my elf!!

tmp's scenes are still the best IMO.  And DahliaLynn's.  Dahlia's first night was on my mind when I was writing about Idun and Alistair's first night.  Posted Image

And maybe it's nostalgia from writing that, but this is probably my favorite Alistair tent screenie ever now.

I tried Sims 3, but lost interest quickly for the same reason I didn't care for the previous versions. There's something very disturbing about making sure your sims eat well, bathe regularly, and get plenty of socialization while sitting in front of the computer for hours by yourself eating peanut butter sandwiches. ;)

Explain this Sims obsession.  The game looks incredibly boring to me.  I used to play Sim City for a while because city planning fascinates me, but why would I want to play a game about the mundanities of everyday life?

So... I hesitate to add to the pages of cat and dog spam from last night, but this is a beautiful dog.  Is that at a dog show?  If it isn't, she looks like she could be!

For some reason I'll never be able to explain, dog shows make me cry.  Posted Image  In a good way, I guess.

I find I have moer fun decorating and building and whatnot.  I haven't played since I got DA, however.  Might give it another go over the summer.

One of the charmanders is hiding a nipple piercing.

I love downloading ridiculous skimpy armor, the lulz are endless.

Aww but her shoulder is well protected Posted Image

these tattoos would look pretty good on Zevran come to think of it.

(not that they don't look good where they are on the screenie. Is there any on the back, too? Posted Image

I found the Sims pretty fun if you just let their AI run the things for them and make their decisions, and only do the manual stuff to help them carry out their "own" wishes. Then it's like having a perpetual drama show unfolding in sometimes most unexpected directions.

Some people like to play strictly by the rules and fret about motives and get their fun from micromanaging needs and reveling in the hilarity that ensues when those needs aren't met. Others prefer to focus on creating personal storylines and dramas within the household/neighborhood. I've done both and prefer the latter, but I like creating personalities and putting those sims through situations (both mundane and outlandish) and watching their lives unfold at my whims. I don't obsess over motives and am not opposed to cheating them up when they interfere with my fun.

I also have a secret obsession with decorating pixelated homes and will sometimes spend far more time on that than actually playing.

So it's like reality TV?  That may explain why the idea of this being fun baffles me.  Posted Image

I take it you haven't seen the other version's back.  I'll get right on that.

Edit: Heh, I can't get that modder's new DAzip/override to work.  Maybe Yuki still has screen shots of the back o' doom w/ the metal shards sticking out of it.

Im suprised he pulled that though, when offered to kill Zevran he backs down, and dosent try to kill that blood mage in th tower either. Then again if I lost my friends to someone I would do that too. What happens if you put an hardened Alistair on the throne by himself, and name yourself counciler with Loghain dying in the Landsmeet?

Nah, more like TV drama/sitcom -- you have the permanently changing love triangles and other combinations, characters discover they've been cheated on or cheat themselves (and maybe get caught) new characters appear and all characters may go (or the other way around), kids go through their grow up phases, vampires and/or aliens show up...

The epilogue cards for hardened Alistair are pretty much all the same- he studies governance, is popular with the common people, appoints an elven advisor which is controversial, etc.  If you are chancellor, it says that he defers a great deal to your judgment.  If your PC marries him in a love match, it talks about the PC being his adored bride and how delighted the people are with how much he loves her.

Edit:  Adding another top that's appropriate for Giggles' LM experience.  Posted Image
