You know what I just realized...I seem to only play Awakenings just past Alistair's kiss-on-the-cheek goodbye. After that I pretty much lose interest <sigh>

Suddenly Sims 3 sounds strangely appealing. I wonder why this is.

I might! I could have a whole neighborhood of DA sims. It would be fun, especially if I could make Morrigan and Alistair hate each other and get into fights in the park.

I was going to bring all the pics from Alistair killing Loghain and getting himself kinged, I had set it all up with fraps, but to make the scene nicer without a flashing number in the corner, i hit the disable button. However I turned off taking pictures, so I have to go back to an hour before to get to a save before it. DAMN.
Pretty interesting actually poor Loghain and Anora. Now I dont think Alistair is wimpy, because damn that was epic.

The discussion has thankfully moved on but this is exactly why I don't do a "just to see it" spare Loghain run. I put so much effort into my PCs and if I end up doing something that feels hollow and false, it makes me dislike them and that's no fun.Lady Jess wrote...

giggles loves to do this
when I spared Logain and made Alistair King (I was in a romance with him-love) at the coronation he was friendly to me.. and it seemed that there was a chance for the relationship to go on.. but at the end game camp he was nowhere to be found.
I've spared him one time. It was my first RP thing, and I hate that character now. When I found out about Loghain's cameo I did it as twisted revenge, that I had something to do with his post in Orlais.
I still feel like crap when I look at her. To me, she betrayed her family, king, Duncan, Alistair, all the elves in the Alienage, everyone touched by Howe's treachery, because she didn't execute the man who abandoned the wardens and the king then rewarded that villain at every turn.
She never even made it to Awakening to see his cameo.
Now mind you, that playthrough was one of my really early ones, and I didn't pay much attention to what I was hearing. It wasn't until I started redoing things and slowing down that everything kind of hit me at once, then I couldn't look at her.

Dahlia spends a lot of time making her scenes perfect. It is beautiful as is now but she won't release until it is perfect. When she updates I will!Addai67 wrote...
Sooo.... did we get the EF first night yet and I missed it, or is that still on the way?
tmp's scenes are still the best IMO. And DahliaLynn's. Dahlia's first night was on my mind when I was writing about Idun and Alistair's first night.sabreene wrote...

Explain this Sims obsession. The game looks incredibly boring to me. I used to play Sim City for a while because city planning fascinates me, but why would I want to play a game about the mundanities of everyday life?SurelyForth wrote...

Well, yeah; i did say crazy armours
What, you mean like this one for arcane warriors?
One of the charmanders is hiding a nipple piercing.
I love downloading ridiculous skimpy armor, the lulz are endless.
I found the Sims pretty fun if you just let their AI run the things for them and make their decisions, and only do the manual stuff to help them carry out their "own" wishes. Then it's like having a perpetual drama show unfolding in sometimes most unexpected directions.Addai67 wrote...

So it's like reality TV? That may explain why the idea of this being fun baffles me.tmp7704 wrote...

these tattoos would look pretty good on Zevran come to think of it.
(not that they don't look good where they are on the screenie. Is there any on the back, too?

I still have to see if I can recreate the Nakie Alistair demolishing Loghain fight. I wish, wish, wish I had fraps when that happened. XD

Nah, more like TV drama/sitcom -- you have the permanently changing love triangles and other combinations, characters discover they've been cheated on or cheat themselves (and maybe get caught) new characters appear and all characters may go (or the other way around), kids go through their grow up phases, vampires and/or aliens show up...Addai67 wrote...

The epilogue cards for hardened Alistair are pretty much all the same- he studies governance, is popular with the common people, appoints an elven advisor which is controversial, etc. If you are chancellor, it says that he defers a great deal to your judgment. If your PC marries him in a love match, it talks about the PC being his adored bride and how delighted the people are with how much he loves her.Giggles_Manically wrote...
Im suprised he pulled that though, when offered to kill Zevran he backs down, and dosent try to kill that blood mage in th tower either. Then again if I lost my friends to someone I would do that too. What happens if you put an hardened Alistair on the throne by himself, and name yourself counciler with Loghain dying in the Landsmeet?
