Nice, does it replace hers? or just give you one to wear? Not that it's likely useable for elves...lol

That's true, though Alistair trusts Eamon and so I think he'll always be an influence in his life. You see this in Awakening when he says Eamon would kill him if he stayed behind. An eye-roll moment, but true. Like I said, I don't think this is a bad thing, as long as Eamon remembers his place. A PC queen or chancellor can aid in that last bit.Giggles_Manically wrote...

S'all cool just compairing that is. Although my respect went way for alistair after that fight, I bet Eamon was screaming OH NOES! there goes my puppet!
I am not so sure he will be able to influnce Alistair hardened as much as he wants though. Mainly since my PC is going to be there to help him out. Sad that I have to the DR now, since I am not a fan of it but oh well.
The DR makes for the juicier story, so I don't mind it. I also trust Morrigan to a degree and my PC is most often genuinely grateful to her for saving her or Alistair's life.

I was going to bring all the pics from Alistair killing Loghain and getting himself kinged, I had set it all up with fraps, but to make the scene nicer without a flashing number in the corner, i hit the disable button. However I turned off taking pictures, so I have to go back to an hour before to get to a save before it. DAMN.
Pretty interesting actually poor Loghain and Anora. Now I dont think Alistair is wimpy, because damn that was epic.
*fistbump*
I still have to see if I can recreate the Nakie Alistair demolishing Loghain fight. I wish, wish, wish I had fraps when that happened. XD
Im suprised he pulled that though, when offered to kill Zevran he backs down, and dosent try to kill that blood mage in th tower either. Then again if I lost my friends to someone I would do that too. What happens if you put an hardened Alistair on the throne by himself, and name yourself counciler with Loghain dying in the Landsmeet?
In both those cases, he'll defer to the PC, but he makes his disapproval clear, even though only one gets you actual disapproval. If you haven't had Leliana in the party wigh him when they encounter the maleficar, you should.

That Eamon comment bugged me for a bit, then I remember Cailan...and what happened when he put himself on the front lines. Of course my HNF will fully agree with it. She puts Eamon in his place. He's HER backup, only allowed to advise when she is gone.

It's just an override. I suppose if you had a mod that let you wear Morrigan's robes as an elf the override would work. I'm not sure tbh. I don't play mages or elves so, I'm not very robe savvy.

Ok, I need to kick out an override in mine still. so she gets her default robes back. I think my mage will stick with Ducansten robes though.

Alistair just doesn't want you to let Jowan go without any consequences. He did poison Eamon, after all. Should he just get off scot free?Giggles_Manically wrote...
IRL I would get along with Alistair but he is a little warpered in some acpects or as Morrigan says: "Is this Alistair, or the Templar talking?". I agree with him that some stuff is wrong to do like keeping the anvil, but Jowan is my friend so my last mage let him go, pretty much as a get out before you screw up again. I like him but he seems to be not a orthodox grey warden thats for sure.
Alistair will argue with Sten that you shouldn't just kill Jowan, though, and he gives an approval drop if you execute him. So he's not bloodthirsty about him.

I think it's just Alistair softening the fact that he really does need to be elsewhere. The Bannorn had it pretty rough under Loghain and seem to be the most unruly to govern in general, so splitting your efforts as royal team makes perfect sense.Lady Jess wrote...

I didn't like the Alistair vignette in Awakening at first, but it grew on me. It's sweet for what it is and communicates in short space of time the fact that he really is king now, things are different, but underneath he's still the same guy.
Edit: ....and sexier than ever. Gah!

Vanillastair to please the masses

Here's what I've done:
- I extracted the .dds files from AofS
- I renamed these textures pf_bdy_duna_0d.dds, pf_bdy_duna_0n.dds, pm_bdy_duna_0s.dds and
- I moved the new files into the override folder
And now it was supposed to work, isn't it?

That's how I like to do it as well. The trick is to get the companions' approval high enough to find out what they would like and that's because the PC has no idea who the gifts are for.cmessaz wrote...
