Does anyone have links to what starts Alistair's romance I am trying to romance Zevran with my elf mage (heresy I know) but for some reason I keep starting his romance.

We did have a list at one point. Here are some:
1. Telling him he's handsome
2. Telling him you find the idea of him being a prince thrilling.
3. Telling him that you think you're the lucky one (at the end of the conversation with him when he reveals his parentage).
4. Telling him that you find power sexy (before the Landsmeet when you're talking to him about him becoming king).
5. When you give him his mother's amulet ("Your special to me") or Duncan's shield ("For you? Anything.")
6. When talking about what changes about you as a Grey Warden, if he says something about having lines for you, say "Riiiiiight..." and move the convo along.
7. During the lamp post talk, when he asks about your opinion on him finding you attractive or being courted, try to say things like "Only that you're prone to empty flattery" or "If it were the right gentleman."
8. Telling him you care about him after you see his sister.

Those are all I can think of straight off. I'm sure there's an utterly obvious one I'm missing.

6 and 7 are romance-starters? They seem discouraging to me.

And I can't believe he likes 2 and 4 since, regardless of intention, it sounds like you're more 'I want to hook up with someone with power' than 'I really like you, Alistair.'

Romance starters can be weird sometimes...Posted Image

Yeah, I think in 6 & 7 she's talking about how not to turn the romance on.  For instance, the "if it were the right gentleman" line doesn't turn the romance on.  He interprets it as telling him he's not the right gentleman.

As for 2 and 4, he's a guy, and one who's not been around women much.  A pretty woman that he can actually have telling him he's hot as rocks --> predictable results.  Posted Image  You still have to have his approval up for the romance to go anywhere.

I have only found 2 ways to avoid him..

1. Play a dwarf
2. Ignore him completely...lol

He's less prone to go after dwarves? I had not noticed that.

No, I'm less prone to go after HIM with a dwarf...lol

I have another modding question. I have tried to put on the Warden Garments the textures from Armor of the Sten, but it is not working for me. I did not follow closely the discussion when it happened here, so I probably missed something...

Here's what I've done:
- I extracted the .dds files from AofS
- I renamed these textures  pf_bdy_duna_0d.dds, pf_bdy_duna_0n.dds, pm_bdy_duna_0s.dds and
- I moved the new files into the override folder
And now it was supposed to work, isn't it?

It can depend on which exact folder you move the files to, as the 'default' textures are still present and chances are the game chooses to load them instead. Try to put your renamed textures into packages/core/override/toolsetexport folder and see if it makes the difference?

Okay, so I know that in the game when Alistair gives you the rose it's a good indication that you've turned on the romance. Still, since he has the rose regardless, would it be that out there for him to give it to a Warden he's not interested in but friends with because things are going really badly and he wants to remind her that, like he says, there are still beautiful things in the world?

Hmm only one thing i can think of, the older version of the Warden robe used the material of the male version. So if you have that old version you won't see the change... try to download and install the current version and see if it helps? Posted Image

You will cry bitter, salty tears when I'm showing off tmp + dwarf scenes and all you can do is watch the parade go by.

My character that I have lined up for the Morrigan romance is a dwarf. I'm wondering how that's going to work out, 'cause my characters never go like I planned...

I find it hard as well! I've only played two Dwarfs and they both ended up with Zevran.

Pretty sure he has to be interested, otherwise male wardens would get it too and I know I never did

Well, I know in game that that's the case. I just don't know if it would be weird if he just gave it to a friend in a fanfic.

Edit: I think it's a really sweet gesture but I'd rather not have to have him interested so he needs to be set straight later that she's not in order for that to happen.

I think if he wasn't romantically interested then he would keep the rose to himself, you could find a way to introduce it other than it being given as a gift
