Each of us has different preferences. Some go for the dwarves, others for the humans and others for the elves. In the end it is a personal choice. My favourite are the elves. <3cmessaz wrote...

Does anyone have links to what starts Alistair's romance I am trying to romance Zevran with my elf mage (heresy I know) but for some reason I keep starting his romance.
We did have a list at one point. Here are some:
1. Telling him he's handsome
2. Telling him you find the idea of him being a prince thrilling.
3. Telling him that you think you're the lucky one (at the end of the conversation with him when he reveals his parentage).
4. Telling him that you find power sexy (before the Landsmeet when you're talking to him about him becoming king).
5. When you give him his mother's amulet ("Your special to me") or Duncan's shield ("For you? Anything.")
6. When talking about what changes about you as a Grey Warden, if he says something about having lines for you, say "Riiiiiight..." and move the convo along and avoid triggering the romance.
7. During the lamp post talk, when he asks about your opinion on him finding you attractive or being courted, try to say things like "Only that you're prone to empty flattery" or "If it were the right gentleman" to avoid triggering the romance.
8. Telling him you care about him after you see his sister.
Those are all I can think of straight off. I'm sure there's an utterly obvious one I'm missing.
Aww, I've never gotten to hear a lot of these, my girls either fall or they don't.
Does a toolset person want to find me the gentlemen/being courted lines? I would love to see those!

PC: yes I think I would like that
Alistair: Good I'll have to keep that in mind then.

That's my first choice too. Although I enjoyed playing a Dwarf Noble, and have yet to complete the Commoner origin.

Yes I've always rolled elves in medieval-type fantasy, and to a lesser extent noble human types. I know others have said they usually play a warrior human type. So I guess you do find a niche where you feel most comfortable. Dwarf theme was not my favorite in Tolkien settings either. I love that it's there, just don't enjoy having it as my character's story.laradenton wrote...

I'm sorry I just can't get into Dwarf+Alistair! I tried it once, and let it end at the landsmeet. I really TRIED!!!
*cue Judy Garland singing "The Man That Got Away"*
You're probably right. But my DN had to go back to Orzammar, and in her view, Alistair HAD to be king, Anora reminded her too much of Bhelen (power!!!) and she didn't trust her after seeing the elves being sold into slavery. And Tryna...she just fell for Zev on sight. And Alistair went and said his thing about dwarf funerals and well she's a redhead, figure it out...lol

OK I need help. Wynne just confronted me about being a blood mage. I panicked and turned it off. What do I need to do?
Use the persuade saying you learned as a gray warden, Irving will back you up, then just agree with him. Irving is pretty awesome in that moment really. So is Gregoir.
edit: I am assumng this is at the tower.

It's in the lamppost discussion, which is kind of funny. You're asking him this really personal, invasive question and he's so sweet about it.Sandtigress wrote...

I could try to catch a video later on.

You will end up having to kill both the mages and the templars.

Heh, my first Oblivion character was a Nord because I wanted to learn the game on a warrior before I tried anything fancier. He was a big thrasher, but I played him kind of courtly. The story I had in mind was that he was the lesser son of a Skyrim noble family who struck out to make his fortune and got waylaid by fate. Then when he made good in Cyrodiil, his family sent a bride to him, but he was always secretly sweet on his Rosethorn maid. I would drop jewelry in her little downstairs alcove.SurelyForth wrote...
Apropos of nothing, I wish that there was a Nord type class in DA. I loved playing a big, dumb bashing machine in Oblivion. My lady Nord was terrifyingly hot.
Fun times.

Oh dear GOD!! My kids are watching the Wizards of Waverly Place movie, and I about broke my NECK whipping my head around when I heard Alistair.
SV is great. Even his boring tweets are fun. He seems like a genuinely fun-loving type of guy.
I don't mentally read his tweets in Alistair voice or anything. No no.

You finally managed to get there with your no-persuasion playthrough? I am seriously impressed. I don't think I could manage it if people didn't immediately listen to me once I used a persuade line.Gilsa wrote...

Who did you side with? Does Vartag even give the non-persuasive DN a chance? I've recently found out that just playing the Princess card gets Gwidon to fight even though he won't believe you about Dulin or Harrowmont personally telling you that Harrowmont's not conceding.

Another top for Addai... the Maker is cursing the Maricstair haters. But I shall endeavor to show mercy.
Dwarven women can reach Alistair's hot lips, and dwarven armor stretches to fit him too. Who says dwarves can't do magic!

He looks so annoyed here. He really will smile only for SurelyForth.
