Probably for the best, I hear the 80's sucked. I mean, look who was the product of the 80's -pokes KoP-Just kidding, just kidding. I have animosity towards the 80's because my high-school BFF loved the music from the era even though I hate it. I'm quite traumatized by it:crying:
1982 for me. I love those 80s movies. The Brat Pack and whatever. Breakfast Club and St Elmo's Fire and Pretty in Pink. And the Saturday morning cartoons. Those were the days.
Edit: I will certainly agree that the music has not aged well, lol.
I've only ever watched Breakfast Club, which I did like. But I'm a child of the 90's, and I am annoyed by the thought that the only way you can really like music is by liking 80s music. A surprising number of people have told me that.

The bratpack movies rocked. I love all of them. I think the final ones were the Young Guns movies, and that wasn't total brat pack, but it did mark the end. And Who says you have to like 80's music to like music? That's effed up. I still love the 80's hair bands, and female rockers (Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Patty Smyth etc) but it makes no difference in how much I like todays music. Which, admittedly I don't listen to much. Some Nickleback, Kid Rock, Daughtry but that's about it.

I've never heard that before. Though I am really not one to ask about music tastes, since I tend to listen to more music in languages I do not understand, because I am strange.

That's the arcane warrior set I forget the name now. The weapons look good (especially with TMP's weapon size mod) but Templar style armor on female elf is bad bad bad.

Oh, I forgot about Young Guns, that one was great! There were some awesomely bad horror flicks made then, too.

Hi everyone. I got so enthusiastic about making a primer on medieval fighting that I've been working on it all day. I made a post on it just now. It's a lot links to video clips and some explanatory remarks. I hope you find this useful. Please let me know if this is what you wanted or if you want something else.

Oh, that's neat. My son's due date was July 4th, but that day came and went. My family got excited by the idea of him being born on 07-07-07. That day came and went, too. My doctor decided to induce me because I was already going over 40 weeks. We thought the kid would arrive on July 9th, the day I was scheduled to be induced, but ... to make a long story short, my doctor wanted a c-section to be a last resort. I was in labor for two days before they finally decided to go ahead with a c-section. (Turned out that he was too big for the birth canal.) He was born on July 11th. And my mom said, "Well, at least it wasn't Friday, the 13th." I was so ready to strangle everyone. I just wanted my kid OUT.Sarah1281 wrote...
My brother so lucked out on his birthday. My mom needed a C-section and so they were going to do it on the eleventh but then my dad and the doctor were talking and couldn't resist doing 9-9-99 and so he doesn't have to deal with that every year.
The sad thing is that I sometimes forget what day he was born in July and I just think of the 7-11 convenience store because I remember my husband joking about buying a 7-11 toddler shirt for him. (They don't have 'em.)

It might be a Southern thang, lol, because I hear it all the time for "true rock music fans". I listen to all kinds of music, but my favorite band is the German band, Rammstein. But I listen to Japanese music and Russian music too. I don't think there is any genre of music I don't like, at least to some degree.

I don't like the post-80s stuff nearly as much, it must be said. But I wouldn't tell anyone else what to listen to, Maker knows.

Lol, my son was born 4 days late, 3 of those days I was in non-active labor with him. In the end, he absolutely wouldn't come out and his heart was acting strangely so they just gave me a C-Section.
He's the 5th Gemini in my family too and was born one day after my father's birthday. He might have been born sooner if I had gotten up and walked more but if you are in pain, you couldn't care less what day your child is born:lol:

Pfft, pregnancy was awesome. If I was in a place in my life to have more children, I'd totally do it. Heck, I didn't even mind the labor, except for the "having my son cut out of me" business. Of course, my first pregnancy taught me what I want to do for my next ones, so there's no part that I actively disliked.
