Do you hate whoever it is you're thinking of? Posted Image

I wasn't thinking about anyone in specific Posted Image

No but I really want to have a kid. Especially a baby girl.

It might be a Southern thang, lol, because I hear it all the time for "true rock music fans". I listen to all kinds of music, but my favorite band is the German band, Rammstein. But I listen to Japanese music and Russian music too. I don't think there is any genre of music I don't like, at least to some degree.

Where south are you? I'm in TX. Posted Image

Yeah, my music tastes are all over the place. Mostly I just like songs that are fast and upbeat, and I don't really care about the lyrics, I just like how they sound.

I'm on the other side of America, namely Georgia:P

I like intense songs, if they don't make me feel something I usually don't really like it. Hence why I'm going deaf from listening to loud music:lol:

My brother so lucked out on his birthday. My mom needed a C-section and so they were going to do it on the eleventh but then my dad and the doctor were talking and couldn't resist doing 9-9-99 and so he doesn't have to deal with that every year.

Oh, that's neat. My son's due date was July 4th, but that day came and went. My family got excited by the idea of him being born on 07-07-07. That day came and went, too. My doctor decided to induce me because I was already going over 40 weeks. We thought the kid would arrive on July 9th, the day I was scheduled to be induced, but ... to make a long story short, my doctor wanted a c-section to be a last resort. I was in labor for two days before they finally decided to go ahead with a c-section. (Turned out that he was too big for the birth canal.) He was born on July 11th. And my mom said, "Well, at least it wasn't Friday, the 13th." I was so ready to strangle everyone. I just wanted my kid OUT.

:P

The sad thing is that I sometimes forget what day he was born in July and I just think of the 7-11 convenience store because I remember my husband joking about buying a 7-11 toddler shirt for him. (They don't have 'em.)

Lol, my son was born 4 days late, 3 of those days I was in non-active labor with him. In the end, he absolutely wouldn't come out and his heart was acting strangely so they just gave me a C-Section.

He's the 5th Gemini in my family too and was born one day after my father's birthday. He might have been born sooner if I had gotten up and walked more but if you are in pain, you couldn't care less what day your child is born:lol:

Pfft, pregnancy was awesome. If I was in a place in my life to have more children, I'd totally do it. Heck, I didn't even mind the labor, except for the "having my son cut out of me" business. Of course, my first pregnancy taught me what I want to do for my next ones, so there's no part that I actively disliked.

What's so awesome about the pain of hours-long labor, not being able to move around as you get further along, crazy moodswings, constantly having to go to the bathroom, random cravings, having everyone (even people you barely know) insist on feeling your stomach, needing weeks to recuperate, gaining weight like crazy that you have to really work to get rid of, having to put up with kicks at odd hours that could keep you up at night, and chronic nausea? Posted Image

First child, 19 years old. 7.5 hours of labor, that I mostly slept through except the pushing. Feel better?

My favorite type of music is video game soundtracks. I mostly dislike the rest except for a few exceptions. Yea, not a big music fan.

Well I suppose you would need to have to copacity to love the child you are carrying. And my pregnancy wasn't anywhere near like that. My bewbs just hurt early on, I was slightly ill and had heart burn. Not to mention I had a very small baby bump despite carrying an 8 pound baby (probably because of my child-bearing hips).

Being pregnant is a lot like being in love. If you love something enough, the bad things seem small, while amplifying the good things.

You're making my nostalgic, I really can't have another child right now:lol:

I have a friend who is terrified of pregnancy, too. The idea of another human being growing inside her creeps her out to no end.

We were on vacation in Texas in October and it was funny to hear country music literally everywhere.  Not much different where I grew up, but verrry different from Silicon Valley.

Damn straight. In fact, I almost became a midwife because I love pregnancy/childbirth. Then again, midwifery is only a two-year degree and I could do that while getting my BA -ponders-

Oh so I have to be a girl to know that being pregnant means you are giving birth to your offspring that I would think you would love immensely?

Anyways, as interesting as this is, I guess I shouldn't intrude, being a guy and all.

You are just a bit misinformed Sarah. I have done it twice. Most people have no trouble moving around, the moodswings aren't ALWAys bad, I didn't have any at all in fact, either time. The constant going to the bathroom isn't as horrible as it gets made to sound and doesn't happen til late pregnancy when the baby is weighing on the bladder, noone touched my stomach, or anyone elses I know, it takes 2 weeks after to really rest, and maybe a few more weeks to hit full recovery, depending on your fitness level before and during. That also impacts the weight gain and loss. I had my kids, poof weight gone.  My friend who lives with her ass on the couch eating junk, never lost it.

You can't judge by the horror stories you see and read online, or see in movies . Some people hardly gain weight at all. We have a cousin that delivered a baby before she even knew she WAS pregnant. Twice!  I gained 30 pounds with my first and 15 with my second.

But having my daughters was one of the best things I've ever done. And you forget any trouble you went through the first time they look you in the eye and squeeze your finger, smile, giggle, walk...
