It's possible some of these onhit effects just aren't actually implemented in game beyond the entry in data tables, so they didn't bother with creating the visuals for them.
btw that holy weapon thing looks like the reduced vfx version, the default is somewhat different. That was sort of easter egg i put in the package, never thought i'd actually see a screenshot of it in action.

Some of the effects like Vicious and Weakens and Bloodies Target, have no obvious effect in combat, ie no extra damage is applied to the target. That's why I was curious if they might perhaps apply a debuff since there's no way I know of to see that player side in DA. Unlike in some games where they have an enemy portrait of the target that will show any debuffs applied. It's also possible that they were just never fully implimented and do nothing.
