TMPs scenes are so romantic.  But my elf is a DIRTY GIRL!! LOL OMG I was so surprised in that one scene!!  hehe.  I like the dialogue fixes on Ejoslin's mod too.  *Kicks herself for not getting it sooner* but as I don't really romance Zevran thats all I thought it did to be honest. 

This time I am going to hold off as long as I can for the romance to kick in.  It was really sweet the last time I played and I got the "home is with you" line when we weren't in a romance and his response was just adorable. 

My poor elf gets no cut scene with Zev, Only Alistair eye candy for me. I have thos hawt redheaded city elf that I think will be Zev's undoing...

If you are like me you do not spend a ton of money because you know that you will likely have to buy a new one soon anyway.

Personality and actions aside truth be told both Loghain and Eamon are hypocrites for more than one reason.

Did Loghain do unforgivable things? The answer is yes, regardless of his motivations or justifications. Was it befitting that Loghain be run through infront of the Landsmeet. Yes and no, if looked upon in the same light as when Maric ran through Katriel than yes. If his previous actions as a hero of Ferelden are taken into account more prominently than no.

If the game had allowed for Alistair to see beyond his own need for vengeance and allow Loghain to take the final blow thus negating the need for Morrigan's dark ritual I would of chosen that path. Loghain deserved a chance to redeem himself just as the various other miscreants in the PC's entourage did. Since the game doesn't allow for that than I let Alistair kill Loghain as Maric had killed Katriel as it seemed like the second thing to the ending I would of liked to been able to achieve.

There is too much about Eamon that is unknown to properly judge him. I've already stated my feelings and I won't rehash that again. I personally think Eamon is trying to save his own skin as much as keep the PC and Alistair alive when the Bann's side aganist the PC. I support this argument by the fact that Eamon remains silent when Alistair's execution is called for if Anora is put on the throne.

TL; DR: Loghain and Eamon are both dicks.

I think DG was implying that Loghain didn't have any prior knowledge of the attack. All he says at Ostagar is that he heard of the king's promise (to bring Howe to justice). I expect Cailan or a messenger would have told him - after all, Loghain would have to be made aware if a good portion of his troops weren't going to show up.
So, no foul there. But on going on to take Howe as an ally and reward him with a promotion to teyrn is a pretty big foul and something (even as a big Loghain fan) I find inexplicable.

Anyway, back to Alistair squeeing.

My boss is just a political science professor and, even though she's incredibly nice, she is also a dick half the time. So I understand. Everything politics touches turns to, uh, dick.

I think it's hard to properly judge Loghain without reading The Stolen Throne and The Calling.  Reading the books put Loghain in a totally different light for me.  He's very tragic in a Shakespearen way. 

Also after playing through my newest HNF origin, I also don't agree with David Gaider as much anymore.  I can understand Alistair PoV regarding Loghain but as Duncan pointedly said to my PC...



Not that I've jumped aboard team Loghain in any fashion but it's something to think about regardless.

hmm not sure what all is going on in the ZDF combined. i am thinking it doesn't include the party_events from my mod, so backup first (or be ready to reinstall ZDF combined if it doesn't work)... install mine on top of ZDF since mine only has the party_events.dlg/dlb to override the ZDF stuff.

however you might wait til i update the party_events, gonna get the new one from EJ sometime today and then i'll work on updating it with all the basic kissies. but in the meantime, you could try overwriting~

i imagine it probably does affect alistair_main. i haven't taken a look at equal love, but it seems likely that's the case. kisses at BSN and Nexus ~~ can you also link me to yours so i can add them to my mod links? i admit that i am not quite up to date with the alistair mods since i have not romanced him (yet)

I cut Alistair some slack with the Grey Warden thing because I think it's painfully obvious that he had no clue what being a Warden truly meant. He had an inkling that unpleasant things had and would be done to end the Blight, but he also clung to a code of traditional honor that Duncan, eventually, would have had to pry from his hands one way or another.

Why does it have to be teams? I admit, even I am guilty sometimes (or many times) of making it sound like two teams against each other.

On many playthroughs, I executed Loghain because with that particular PC, it made perfect sense. With others, it  did not. I like Alistair as a character (but I have a very different personality). I also like Loghain as a characer (and I also have a different personality, I am more like the Illusive Man really).
 
About David Gaider. Seeing how he is the writer, I think he knows more aobut the character he created than we do. The game imposes limits and constraints on developpers, so they can't show everything they want. And though Gaider does not say it in an arrogant way (like George Lucas), I think what he said carries a lot of weigth and thus I do not believe that Loghain had anything to do with the Cousland massacre. Granted, that's out-game knowledge, a PC in-game cannot really know that and unfortunately cannot even ask about it.
