Ok Combat tweaks (now that I got my spec point issue solved) version of frost runes kicks butt. I don't need a mage to get a shatter! I freeze em with one stab and shatter with another. Tis Awesome.

Welcome To Orzammar Alistair, let the eye rolling begin.

LOL  That is really gross.

I'm not sure who created that animation but it reminded me of David Firth's work.  Everyone should watch Salad Fingers if one hasn't.  It's safe for work as far as I can remember.

The sound of Sharpie markers on cardboard makes me recoil in horror.

Good to know I'm not the only person that suffers from such an affliction.  It's worse than nails on a chalk board to me; it actually makes my spine quiver.

The tattoo I originally wanted was uh_tat_av2_0t, but I couldn't find a way to get the casteless brand on as well. No biggie.

Ohh that's quite darker black than the default. Is that custom tint or just different one from default game?

To get the brand with that you'd have to use Photoshop or something similar to combine the patterns -- take uh_tat_dw1_0t file into it, and then copy its alpha channel to one of channels of uh_tat_av2_0t file, for example red channel. Then save it, and when you pick that new file as tatttoo pattern in the Toolset it will have the brand under the R channel slider and the one you have on the picture will still be under the A channel.

Thanks for the instructions -- I'll open up photoshop and give this a whirl!

And the darker color is from using CC Extra Tints and Tones, which overrides the default colors in the game. I like what it does for my PC, but it's a bit jarring to run into other pcs like Kardol with that extra strong teal color on his face. Her description says, "PC tatoos are now a much more solid shade, so the tatoo intensity slider
is useful now."

I still love this picture so much (and not because of the presence of the Pouncely One). Knowing how Posted Image you are about cat worship just makes this perfect.

Someone in the Anders' thread intimated that the Chasind Robes were less than manly. I had to provide photodocumentation to prove her wrong. I don't know if I succeeded in proving anything except that Anders/Alistair can really work the Chasind Robes.

Same here. Though I have no problem with dentist drills.

LOL  Well you know I took the shot thinking of the Egyptian-level cat worship in this thread.

I'm actually planning on writing a little story based on Esra's life as a street child in Denerim.  Writing fanfiction is like an infection.

I have to admit I'm dubious about robes on both men and women, but I think the thane helmet's super-virility factor cancels out any iffiness from the robe.

I was talking to Sandtigress about how Brand Cousland learned to be a Reaver, and I thought "This could actually be a cute little story! I might have to write this down over vacation."

So...yes. I agree. It is very much like an infection.

But the arms!!!!! They're so muscular in the Chasind style robes (and the Tevinter style robes). I imagine Anders as being fairly slender, but it's hard to really think that when he's all chest and biceps.

I started thinking about it because in trying to decide who might be my "canon" character, I... can't decide.  But I figure it's an elf, and since Idun is based on a mod background, it would probably be Esra.  So I figured she needed a bit more fleshing out.  Goodness knows why I'm even concerned about this.  It never occurred to me to have a canon character until I started reading people on the forum talk about theirs.  Keeping up with the Couslands!

So where would Anders be getting all those muscles?  With Alistair it's obviously from swordfighting.  I guess Anders hangs from the rafters doing pull-ups?  Or are they magical muscles?

Magic is tiring it seems, so I suppose getting yourself in good physical condition would be beneficial?

See, that's what I want to know! I can't imagine the tower has a workout room, although there are a lot of stairs. Maybe they have a group of mages who get together and do stairclimbling and weightlifting with obscenely heavy books.

Although, the templars might not like that very much. Can't have the prisoners getting too strong, or they might not be able to take them down even with their magic neutralized. Posted Image

I think you just answered the question Surely. Anders is an escape artist. Templars neutralize magic. I can see him working up his physique in secret;)

I know!  I missed 1000, and now I missed 2000!!  I had quite the busy little weekend.  We had an open house being held at our palce yesterday, so Saturday was spent scrubbing every inch of the house so it was perfect.  And then Sunday we had to take the dogs and leave, so I was at my parents all day.

And then there was lots of time to play Sims 3 Posted Image.  I started the Cousland family with a little Sim Melania and a little Sim Alistair.  They had two sons, Bryce and Duncan. Posted Image

I have to ask, what personality traits did you give Alistair?

True, but he wouldn't to get too bulky in case he needs to make use of tight spaces/tunnels.

What time is it for you, KoP?

5pm.

Anyways, I gtg. Mom insists that I take her for a ride in her own BMW, ugh.
So see you guys later.

Driving a brand new BMW! How awful for you! ;) On the other hand, since you're driving with your mom, you probably can't take it out on the highway and really open that puppy up and see what it can do.....

Eh, I am a very careful driver and I dislike speed.

I guess it's a bit weird seeing a convertible BMW driving so slowly. Then again, people (girls) could see me better that way, so what the heck Posted Image
