Sandi, I read your fic last night and it is fantastic. You really convey the confusion Kara would undoubtedly feel. I can't wait for you to put up the next chapter.

<3<3  Thanks!  I'm maybe half to three-quarters of where I want to be for the next section?  I expect it up by this weekend at the very latest, though since we've done a lot of the heavy discussions this section's going by much much faster.

Limited writing time while I'm working on the defense and all that, but glad you're enjoying it!

I've been playing too much Harvest Moon, I saw the two hearts and immediately thought, "Yay, I'll be able to propose soon"

LOL I love those games....

But you won't land me that easily, woman!

I would much rather have your PC be King Leonidas. That voice is too strong for Alistair.

I feel left out, I haven't watched soccer since I was, like, 12.

Yea I was very impressed with the USA. They did well and I'd be lookink foward to seeing them in 2014. England on the otherhand was embarrassing and I am very happy they were humiliated. They and France. Ha, my happiness would have been absolute had it not been for the Italian disaster Posted Image

Before this world cup, I would have laughed at the idea of the US team as remotely considerable, and just picked a team from a country that I've visited and liked. In this world cup, the US, Germany, and Brazil have been the most pleasurable for me to watch.

I enjoyed seeing France lose to mexico, and Spain lose to Switzerland. Italy was a big shocker. Made me wonder if it's a case of bad karma from the last world cup, with the slur against Zidane.

Eh, I can imagine the "This is Sparta!!" scene being done as Alistair beheads Loghain. Posted Image

On a serious note, it's a good idea, if a bit unoriginal, but what the heck. It would certainly look cool. Posted Image

*still rages about how everyone goes to defend Zidane*

It's like people think that nobody insults anybody except in that case.

Oh, talking **** is no big deal. Leave race or ethnicity or religion out of it, and I would have laughed if the Italian cracked your mama insults the entire match.

Spain has largely recuperated and they had a pretty good match today against Portugal. spain and Germany are my favorites.

But Italy? That was just too....unexpected. I mean I coudl have predicted French and English humiliation from the very beginning but I never expected Italy to be that bad.
Speaking of Zidane, the French suck without him. This should silence anti-Algerian / anti-Arab Frenchmen right Posted Image

When I was little, I used to root for USA at the Olympics because country pride and all, y'know, but at some point, I would notice how many gold medals USA had and think, "Damn, stop hogging them all" and started rooting for the other countries instead. I had more respect for those that beat USA as a result because they didn't always have the same resources USA did. I think my favorite underdog moment of all time was when Oksana Baiul beat Nancy Kerrigan for the figure skating gold medal. The medal ceremony was delayed because they were trying to find a copy of the Ukraine national anthem since it was the first time it was being played at the Olympics. That really moved me to tears.

My husband said the same thing about Zidane. It's like England without Beckham, really. Ironically, the Algerian team was far more engaging than France was.

This world cup was full of surprises. I'm now pretty much gonna support Germany. Spain? Hell no, as much as I hate Portugal, I really want to see the Spainiards fail, so the local villagers will be reduced to tears, and their endless World Cup fiestas and cheap techno blared at a million decibels will cease, much like the binge drinking and pagan chanting of the British thrown parties, which thankfully, ended Sunday.

Is Germany still good? I think they were my family's favorite team when I used to watch soccer.

In the Olympics, yeah, the US or Russia usually dominate.

But in the game of soccer (internationally known as football, fuessball, futbol, ect), the US are very much one of the underdog teams. Until the past 6 years, the US team was soccer's equivilant to the Jamacian bobsled team, minus the dreds and magic eggs.

Hell, yes. They had a burp against Serbia, but they are a very young and talented team with alot of vigor and drive. Most predictions say the final match will be between Spain and Germany.

yeah, I know. I meant to say wanted. I do not want to see Spain in the finals, because that means nonstop obnoxious noise and excessive drunkeness and fat chicks in spandex until July 11. And right after that, it's annual fiesta time. For a friggin month. I do not know how long I can keep supressing the urge to firebomb the village square and bar.

Go, Paraguay!:wizard:

I was just an ideal I had at work today, I don't even know how to exract clips from games...and nothing wrong with being unoriginal once in a while

They'll get kicked out by Germany or Argentina in the Semi, that will cause more grief due to them being so close.

And then Uruguay takes the bronze.

Grief I can handle. Better the sounds of wailing and ripping sack cloth than a bunch of drunken mullet-heads trying to sing Dire Straits songs in Spanish.

I also want to see Argentina fail. Like, the Boot of God burying itself in Argentian booty.

And Oezl. And Schweinsteigger.

Good thing I know the words to Deutchland Ueber Alles.

Tup of page, need some Ali-corn to brighten my spirits.
