I had never heard of this Tebow guy but I'm sorry, Alistair blows him out of the water.

I did spend my commute wondering what position on a football team would best suit Alistair.  My initial thought was quarterback, and he's probably fast enough that he could do it.  He'd be one of those big guys who'd be dragging half the defensive line with him as he takes the ball across the goal line himself.

Too tall for a running back, not wiry enough for a wide receiver, but maybe a safety or tackle.  Lots of tooth-shattering tackling.  To the shouts of "for the Grey Wardens!!!!" 

I've never heard of Tebow either. He has nice muscles, but... Alistair FTW!!! :wub:

I have nothing to contribute to the sports talk, except I spend too much time around non-Americans and soccer is now football, and football is now American football. I don't really follow teams -- I'm more into individual or one on one sports   What? I'm talking about swimming and martial arts!

I have to ask... how is Sims 3? I stopped after Sims 2, and never moved on after hearing about some of the low ratings of 3.  Now I'm thinking about it again.... Having a Sim Alistair is tempting!!

edit: Also, can you still use all the cheatcodes? I got too used to cheating all their needs so I could just concentrate on building & stories.

I liked it at first, then got bored.  But now that a couple of expansions are out, I'm back into it.  Plus, I needed a break from DA since I ahd DA burnout.  The idea of making DA sims was too tempting.  Sim Melania and Sim Alistair have two boys, Duncan and Bryce

I was too late to capture a screenie, but when he was teaching little Bryce how to talk, he was also talking about dragons.  Sim Alistair seems to talk about dragons a LOT.....coincedence?

note: I could be wrong, most my circle is of the British-type (British, Irish, Welsh, Indian).

I dunno but why should it annoy them?  It's just what we call it.  It might be confusing though, if you don't have any context and assume we mean soccer.

I don't get annoyed at all the anglicisms for stuff.  i think they're adorable.

....I can see how you get that.

By realizing it has 4 legs, wings and is the closest thing the Sims dialogue icons system has to offer to resemble the griffon to some extent

Yes. Which is why I do it deliberately with all the local British ex-pats, I then get treated to a long, moaning rant about how American football is rugby for p*ssys, and that you fon't use your feet on the ball much, and how no one else on the planet watches it except stupid Americans, ect ect ect ect.

Absolutely delightful way to spend an otherwise borning afternoon on the beach.
