I actually find Ser Gilmore to be almost unforgivably bland, but I am incredibly impressed at the effort that went into that mod.

Gilmore got me at the end, when he's holding the door shut to buy your family time.  But before that, my HNF never thought to consider him a romantic interest.  But she's rather the straight up and up duty comes first and I'm going to do what my family needs me to do type, so it probably wouldn't cross her mind.  Now, Teagan on the other hand....she was wondering what Eleanor and Bryce were thinking, not introducing them before!

My first time through the Origin, when I met him and he spoke I was like..."uhh I'll take one to go please?" I like how soft spoken he was, and a smidge bashful. And brave as he shows in the great hall. I was a bit sad to not see him again I'll admit. And it had nothing to do with his looks, he just attracted my HNF.

When I find the time, I will most likely go for the Gilmore mod. I like romance stories and I'd like to see how this plays out. I always did say that if Nathaniel was a romantic interest, I'd have rolled a Cousland for him. I don't know if I'd go for Gilmore with Cousland or Amell yet, but my interest is piqued, especially since it looks like they'd keep it going into Awakening if they can. How can you resist actually having a romantic interest for Awakening? =p

I'm going to try it out as soon as I finish Serena. I only have Flemeth, WK, and landsmeet to do yet, then archie and done. Then I can stash the conflicting mods for that playthrough and put them back after.

Knowing that it's canonically impossible and won't be referenced in any future games doesn't deter you? :?

He's a great guy, and I think he would have made an awesome Warden, but there's just not a lot about him that grabs me. He doesn't have any of Alistair's spark, IMO.

Holy...

That is a TON of work to put into a mod.  Unbelievable.

And a lot of work for Ser Gilmore, who... don't get me wrong... is "okay," but I would not go out of my way to snuggle him.

I agree, I don't understand the appeal

I like it just because it's a new option for a character's story.

Exactly, and he isn't just romance fodder, for my 2nd HNF, he would be but he has the same abilities as any other companion, friend, romance, and...open relationship which noone lse has. It's nice to see a new face in camp, new comments and dialogues.

Yeah, I mean, I wasn't interested in the mod because OMG I've been wanting to romance Gilmore. Just to have a new face, another perspective, another slant on an old tale.

Oh yeah, Gilmore didn't get me until he was heroic.  I met Alistair and was instantly smitten.  Same thing with Anders.  I was so tickled when I found out I could actually romance Alistair - I think (other than the Harvest Moon games which only sort of count) this was the first RPG with really fleshed out romances that I've played.  NWN2 sort of had them, but since I played a male first, it was kind of only half-felt.  Better when I played my fem Aasimar, but still not nearly as enthralling as Alistair.  <3<3<3

I can't make a big deal out of "canon". So no, it doesn't bother me.

*salutes smartly* Gym fistbump right here lady, just put my two hours in and I'm knackered. One hour of cardio and weights then an hour of pilates.

I am now a pile of goo.

The Ser Gilmore mod gives us a chance to see, "What if...". I'll do at least one play through with a HFN just to take a different path for a change. I think I may also try a city elf just to see where it goes

For me, it's like exploring a forest full of winding paths. You want to see what's down a path and where it will eventually lead. So, if you're happy with the trails that are currently offered, cool. I'm just hyper curious and love the opportunity to see more.

That and Immortality has actually done a bang up job on this mod. I really want to support modders that are willing to give us such high quality.

Soignee, yeah I've set aside my kickboxing for the summer.  It's been too hot and I tend to dehydrate really quickly.  I've broken my day up into smaller wo's for this reason as well.  30 minutes of yoga in the morning, weight training 2-3 times a week (30 min), and either walking, hiking, or swimming 4-5 days a week.  This way I can justify spending sooooo much time at my desk playing DA. :D

My job = sitting on my ass drawing/faffing on the computer, so uh. Yeah. I too can't justify my gaming habit also, and put aside time to pretend I am athletic.

I do body combat, you may like it if you do kickboxing. No contact involved, sort of a cardio workout to music. It requires a lot of stamina though.

I busted my knee on friday by, uh, falling off a mountain bike trail and it made pilates ouchie, especially some of the floor work stuff. Oh well! **** sorry I'm such a gym bore when I get started...

To me he looks like he is made of bacon or something. Like a big oily bacon marshmallow.

IDK. There was never anything about him that made me say "Man, that Gilmore dude should have been in the game more!" I also don't read fanfic and to me this seems like one big in-game fic. Just not my thing. I can appreciate the effort, though.

Yeah, those are my thoughts too.  Well not bacon marshmallow thing... (wtf ?)

I'd be all over a recruit Isabella mod personally.  Though I'd guess her voice would be hard to mimic.

Isabela doesn't want to be recruited!  She's all "have a happy Blight" and heads for the hills.

Hehe, the teensy weensy legs just get me.  I always think of Oghren saying they're useless as an accessory.

But wow, that's quite a shot of your mabari!  Wouldn't want to see him in a dark alley.  Is that an IA look?
