Game Over! Serena is chancellor to the King, and apparently in Charge while Alistair's dragged to Weisshaupt. There is just no happy ending for that man...tsk tsk. She told Gorim she'd come to Orzammar, but she had things to do first. So he's taking care of house Aeducan.

Gotta love charging at the archdemon with Kardol at your side.

Aww, this image is so adorable. I could definitely use a tucking in from Alistair today. I think I might pop into the game and talk about licking lampposts just to cheer myself up.

It feels like Friday because I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and most of my work is done.  But apparently everyone else is having a sucky day!

And I did the Duncan's death talk with Ron last night, and I understand why the Dalish laydeez squee over their templar. His comment about the Dalish burial practices is sweet and super well-delivered. Ron F*cking Mahariel is secure enough in his sexuality to admit that he man-swooned.

Yes!  Then him saying "you're the reason I said I was lucky" and it's a one-two TKO.  It's also the nicest thing anyone says about the Dalish in the game, I think.  Someone can remind me if I'm missing something else.  (I made a video of Idun talking to him about it.)

You're trying to morph?

I was noticing on the DA Face Replacer that after I replace the faces, they look... swollen, a little.  The lips and eyes are bigger than they looked in the CC.  It could be my imagination of course.

Hugs, too!  They should do a study on the effect of looking at happy Alistair screenshots on the blood pressure.  Miracle cure.

Oh oh oh oh oh. I can get Dragon Age AND Awakening for about the price of just the Collector's Edition, which I was kind of hoping to get, through Steam, today only.

Really quick, anyone have the CE? This one won't have the map, but will have the extra soundtrack tracks, which I want as I really really like the music for DAO. The rest I realize I can get for free off the Nexus, I think it is, Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes and all that.

But I want to confirm that the included soundtrack is different from the stand-alone full length soundtrack. Anyone?

*hugs Surely*  Alistair wants to nap with you too!  So does Ron!

And that line from him gets me every time - he dismisses the dwarves a bit, and he's sorry for the human noble, but he gets the Dalish, and he sounds so in awe of how beautiful the tradition is and then it's just *SQUEEEE* from there.

It's okay Ron, we're secure enough in your manliness to let you man-swoon, we understand.

Hehe yup, everyone is sleeeeping there too.  But I realized that since the digital deluxe edition already includes Warden's Keep, it's probably worth the extra six bucks to get the soundtrack and wallpapers too.  For a dollar? Not getting it means I still have to pay $5 for WK since I love the WCA so much.

Wheeeeeeee, I'm gonna get DAO and DAO:A for my PC NOW!!!  No playing allowed for a week though!  Just checking now whether Steam will let me play on both my desktop and laptop so I don't download it to the wrong computer if I'm limited to one!

I BELIEVE you can. Just not at the same time. You might want to check further, but I know as long as your acct is only signed in one ONE of them i's fine. They get rather concerned if it's signed on to two at once I believe. But I could be wrong, it's been a while since I looked into it.

Steam doesn't limit how many PCs you can play on, you can install the games on as many computers as you want. If a certain game included copy protection that limited the amount of installations available then that would be described on the game page, but Steam by itself doesn't do that.

EDIT: Of course you can only be logged in one computer at a time with the same account as was stated above. If you try to log on one PC while already logged on another you'll get a message that a session has already been started with that account.

That's all I needed, thanks ladies! I am SO excited. lol Way more excited than I am about defending....how sad...

This totally makes up for losing the job I had lined up today. Now, I still need to find a new job, but not while I'm prepping for my defense...

Roland is kind of naked during rescue the queen.  Of course I didn't start a new game so it could just be a bug on my computer.  But if you are lucky...Posted Image

Is Steam a stable platform?  I haven't used it for any length of time but it sure makes buying games tempting.  But we had such a craptastic experience with Fallout 3 GOTY's forced Windows Live connection that I'm wary of online platforms.

Has anyone ever gotten two characters simultaneously killing an Ogre? I got it a few days ago with both Alistair and Zevran. Seems like too good of a screenie not to share. Of course, I guess it would've been better for most her if it was NBA and not Alistair in the Cailan armor...

I've heard mixed stuff about it.  Jess has had no trouble it, Surely advised against it, but to get them both on sale, I can live with any ocassional wonkiness, I think.

OK, finally got done with these earring hair things.

I split the update in two separate files -- few styles are available for all races and they're in the main file. You'd probably want to download that one anyway since it will also fix the unsightly gap along the hairline which can be pretty visible in some of the haircuts.  Then there's optional file with Morrigan's, Leliana's, Alistair's and Zevran's hair with added earrings, like requested. I didn't add these extra ones to the chargenfile so they are accessible through Toolset only at the moment, but that's hopefully not a problem Posted Image

Steam by itself is very reliable. The problem is when certain games include extra layers of copy protection, like GTA IV and Fallout 3 which include GFWL (which is quite a hassle to be honest). But most games on Steam don't include any extra protection since Steam by itself is a form of DRM.

I've been using Steam for years and I can vouch that it's an awesome platform. The convenience factor is simply too good to pass on. Of course, everyone can have a bad experience here and there but that's to be expected.
