She is pretty! But like you said, her life shows in her face. I would like to have at least one PC who is a little older and little more rough-ridden. I figure they'll have dragged Herja to Ferelden in literal chains, and that would not have been the worst of her predicaments, so she's not going to look like a fashion model. If I can figure out the toolset, that is. It's a big if.Lady Jess wrote...
I actually almost changed her again, but like I said in the Dwarf thread...
I saw her in the cutscene and almost ran back to change her. Then I
thought...no. The woman has survived Mam, dust town, Ostagar, she is
just not gonna be classic pretty.
Thanks! It's harder than I thought to do pretty but not classic pretty. I'm still having trouble with her. The skin around her eyebrows is blindingly white for some ungodly reason I can't figure out. I'm happy with everything else though.
I never thought of that angle for a mage. I actually linked a mod last page, that has a scar that says "Witch" like it was carved into the skin. And it's set to work in the CC even.
Well, she would have had a former life as a bandit in the Anderfels. So they're real scars, like hit-in-the-face-with-a-sword type scars. Your dwarf's are... can you call scars tasteful? LOL They look realistic.
Tasteful sounds ok...lol
The mod I mentioned has some really out there ones, and one or two nice ones that looks like what you describe, but I couldn't use it in the toolset. Gazmodian Faceworks has the one Tryna ended up with.

There's all sorts of lighting in the game, though, and his eyes always look dark brown. Hazel can mean anything- a combination of colors, basically.yukidama wrote...
They look that way because of the lighting. His eyes are hazel.

If I'm successful I promise when I start to play properly again I'll take lots and lots of lovely pics, then share them.
Alistair? Check.
Hot? Always.
Looks like success to me!

When you colour things, do you change the normal map as well? Or are you using the one from the game? I've been trying to retexture something and I seem to be unable to figure it out why my normal map messes the texture...Serissia wrote...

I like that you made her face lined and scarred. It's what I'm going to try to do with my new femAmell, as and when.

Normal maps should be in gray scale. The normal map deals with some of the 3d texture on the piece of armor. Lets say what would be about 3" give or take on an actual piece of armor irl. Anything beyond those 3" is part of the actual skeletal msh of the armor piece.
Generally I don't touch much on the normal map. If I need the texture of a button removed or the like I just use the clone tool in Photoshop to get rid of it. When you working w/ the normal map you have to clone w/e you want out of both the RGB and then switch to the Alpha channel and repeat the process.

Meh. I am not really arguing about IRL hazel or not. In the game his eyes are the hazel that BioWare has deemed hazel. Which is different from the dark brown that BW deemed dark brown. The difference is there, and depending on the lighting you can tell that it is.

It's the same with hair color. The darkest haircolor in a vanilla CC is not black, but a deep sable brown. So No one in the vanilla game really has true black hair. Need mods for that.

The picture in question, since you can't see it apparently, is just one taken of Alistair with a cameraphone in which he looks awful because, well, cameraphone.laradenton wrote...

I'm talking about appearance, not whatever they're designated as in the toolset. I know he has some green/gold in them, too, which you see up close, but they still look dark brown. I'm using that as a general term not a scientific one or anything. So when you say "they're not dark brown they just look it"... that's what I'm saying.yukidama wrote...

I think this might have been when my CE rushed him through everything then took him to Redcliffe and rushed him away without helping a single person in the village so that he could find Goldanna in Denerim. All so that he would proposition my elf in the camp. I had just got the CRS/ first night mod and 'needed' to test it thoroughly. Perfectly understandable I think. They didn't even stop for Leliana or Sten.
