*whimpers* I burned the heck out of my finger. Alistair, come kiss it and make it all better?
"What?! How did you burn your finger? What were you doing? Why aren't you careful? Well be more careful!"
That would be my reaction when such things happen.
That's bad, right?

Well, it's not very Alistairish, so...
That doesn't really answer your question, does it?

The last time I got burned like this, my now-ex freaked out. That might be because he was the one holding the pan that I smacked my hand against though.
In this instance, I very brilliantly forgot that I had just taken a very solid metal saucepan out of the 375 degree oven where it had been for the last 20 minutes and grabbed the handle when I moved to get my dinner out of it.
Ironically, my Masters' thesis is on the integration of sensory inputs and motor outputs, one of the simplest of which is a reflex. And I often use the example of the reflex release of a hot pan when I teach my students about this...
*holds her poor finger out for Alistair to kiss*

Depends entirely on the tone of voice I think, if you sounded concerned it might be quite sweet. If you sounded angry and annoyed then yeah, probably bad.
Here's some grumpy Alistair, just because I'm still excited by the fact that I remembered how to post pictures without having to get someone to explain it to me. I'm easily pleased

Well in 2 hours I may be curled around a heating pad, since I think I just broke my left boob, and KNOW I just pulled my right hamstring. So, I'm going Brock. Why? Because I can, and because I remember him from WWE:P, plus, even though all the stats are higher on his side that doesn't really mean anything, 11-0 and 4-1 makes him the underdog, and I'm a sucker for an underdog.
Most of the smart money is on Carwin, even though Brock is the current champ and arguably the better athlete. He's coming off a long layoff from a staph infection and Carwin's experience/KO power/technique is looking like it'll be the deciding factor. I don't really favor either personally one but I'm expecting Carwin to win via TKO late rnd 1/early rnd2.
Looks like it's not on for another 3 hours here. Thinking I might buy it and record it for the man. Since he's gonna miss it by a few days. But, I'm not watching til he's here. I will be watching AMC, because they're showing John Wayne movies all weekend:P

@ Zyani, I would sound concerned and worried, with a tiny bit of anger but not at the person, but at what happened.
So....Alistair sad face with a little lower lip and then a touch of Alistair mad face with the eyebrow? Oh my, I might have to burn myself more often,....

totally unrelated, but can anyone tell me how to change my avatar to a picture I've taken? At the moment my choices are either this incredibly pale woman or what I like to think of as dead Jory. I pressed all the options buttons and can't find anything. It's my own fault for being so proud of remembering how to post pics I guess.

See, that seems like a perfectly reasonable reaction to me. Not bad in any way.

Crop whatever picture you want and resize to 146 x 146 pixels. Then you name it name_portrait where name is the name of a character whose profile picture you want to override. Drop that in the character's folder, change the picture's settings so it can't be overriden (this changes depending on your operating system - I can give you Windows 7 or Vista specific directions if you need it).
Then you have to do something to make your profile update. In game, usually you can load up the character, change a piece of armor and then do a manual save. After doing that, profiles are updated according to visits, so refreshing or having people click on your page for you can get it to update faster.
Hope that's clear enough.

Oh, I'm remarkably talented at hurting myself in fantastic ways, or catching strange illnesses.
I've got a few years to reach 30 and I've already had a bone marrow biopsy, ultrasounds, brain MRIs, CT scans, umpteen million blood tests, fallen down several flights of stairs (not all at the same time), etc. etc. I'd get sad face/mad face/worried face all the time!
ETA: Oh yeah, I'm also the one equipment breaks down on all the time. I had a glass syringe blow up in my face on night in the lab. That was fun.

I ran upstairs to my desktop just to check for you!
On Vista it looks pretty simple. Right click the photo you want, select properties. Check the box marked "Read Only" and that ought to do it.
This step should only matter if you actually play with the character - for instance for my new pic, I used the character creator to make her profile and just overrode that character's pic. Since I'm never going to touch it again, it shouldn't matter whether it can be overridden or not.

Thanks, Sandi! Of course, you will benefit most from this change of avatar.

It doesn't actually matter what tier that armor is, really. The color stays the same no matter what.
Edit: I don't remember the name of the shield, but it's the one with the best defense rating on it and all of the shields from Warden's Keep have the griffons on them. I'd just save before buying stuff from the vendor and write down what you want to keep. Reload and buy the exact pieces.

Is that a side effect of using the toolset? How come?Lady Jess wrote...
I'm going to kill the toolset. Look at her right eyebrow, see that glaring white area? it's there no matter what I do, what lighting she's in, everything. I can't make it go away.

OK, thank you! With all the modded armours, not to mention the Warden Commander set, I have always ignored the ones from that vendor. I don't even remember ever trying them.Gilsa wrote...
@lara -- Everything he's wearing (except for the sword) is from the Warden's Keep vendor. Heavy Plate Dragonbone (tier 7). It's not the same as the average T7 armor with the purple/red hue -- you'll be able to spot the difference with the icons.
