Okay I wrote up to 640 words on the first chapter of Strays. I'm not sure if I shoudl let it stop at where it is for now or continue. Anyone want to take a look?

First you need somewhere to put them online to link to, I suggest photobucket.com, as it's to me, the easiest. And it's free. You upload your pictures there, and they'll provide various linking codes underneath them. You just copy past the one that starts with [ IMG ] (no spaces of course) in your forum message.

Well, the topic was 'first playthrough annoyances' and that was mine. What's so bad about what I wrote? It doesn't bash Alistair in any way, I didn't comment on whether Alistair requiring killing Loghain to be on the throne alone or with you was reasonable, and Alistair is, in fact, mentioned in the post as I couldn't get to the throne except through him. I can like all three characters and usually Alistair is still on the throne despite Anora and Loghain being in the picture.

So...yeah, I can't see why what I wrote is a big '**** you' to the Alistair thread in any way, shape, or form and since you don't usually go around demanding to know why people have posted things so it seems like you feel that that was.

I didn't say it was bad, I asked why post it here since it really would belong in the Loghain thread.

Everyone does it to some extent.  And for that, I apologize because I really shouldn't criticize it when I'm guilty of it myself.  But I see absolutely no point to posting that in the Alistair gush thread.  Just like I really don't care about other PCs' life stories.  Yes, please share little snippets when you explain why you did something.  Those can be interesting.  What's not so interesting is hearing every single detail of their life.  Please, show me their life when it revolves around Alistair, but I really don't care why someone's CE is so tortured mentally or why their DC is a b!tch.

Eh, whatever.  It's my opinion.  Feel free to ignore me.  I'm not trying to attack anyone, and if you felt attacked, I'm sorry.  That wasn't my goal.  Maybe it was the 107 degree heat index today, but I'm in kind of a pissy mood and when I walk into the Alistair thread, I really just want to see Alistair.  *shrugs*

Carry on.  I'll be over here.  *jerks thumb towards the corner filled with Alistair plushies*

Hehe, I like "fights" *has fight radar*. Still it seems unfair to Sarah. I posted pics of my PC a while back and I didn't get such objections. Of course, I might be an exception, what do I know. Not to mention the Morrigan pics, but everyone knows why these are posted
Anyways, LadyD is cute when she is pissed 

And now I am off for a 3+ hour drive to Palmyra, forced to endure the unbelievable heat of this country. See you all in a week or so, maybe less. Unless I find a good internet cafe, which I somehow doubt. But here's to hoping.

I still have not seen pictures of old buildings like you promised! Have fun anyway, though if I don't see any buildings I may get cross.

The weather here in the northeast US isn't helping us, KoP. We're all pissier than usual

Actually, most if not all ruins were built by the natives (Aramaics / Arabs).
Palmyra was mostly autonomous during Roman rule, until Zenobia's rebellion of course.
