Some love for Alistair too. He was feeling neglected.

Haha. I learned she could be killed on my first playthrough cause she kicked the living f*ck out of my party 4-5 times before I finally finished her (on NORMAL). God I was so badsylvanaerie wrote...
When I first started playing DA I dind't even know she COULD be killed. So I let her go. Then chose a different dialog line one game to see waht happens and LO and behold...a bit later one dead Bard and her flunkies on the floor of that hovel. I was pleasantly surprised. Now she dies every playthrough and if I DIDN"T have enough motivation before what she did in LS was all the motives I needed.
Now I 1-shot Cauthrien sans pots on nightmare. I have become a master!

Pink eyeshadow, too. I saw the opening sequence, quit the game and gave her some blue eyeshadow + red lipstick combination instead. Still garish enough for an Orlesian but at least she isn't giving meGilsa wrote...
Edit: WTF was with that awful pink lipstick Marjolaine wore? I didn't realize the flashback was set in the 70s.
(rounded out her features from the Origins morph a bit as well so she looks the part of someone few years younger, too)

Oh, I don't know, or maybe I mean it depends on how you played her in the DLC. I'm actually less suspicious now, because my playthrough was her journey from being a rather mean spirited and selfish young woman, to someone who saw where that path would take her and didn't like what she saw. I've never hardened Leliana, but I was thinking about giving it a try. I'll never do it now, any more than I'd leave Alistair unhardened. I really didn't like her much before she started to change. It was an interesting journey to take her on. I'm really looking forward to meeting up with her in Lothering with all this new insight. I think my PC will feel a lot more tolerant of her silliness.Lady Jess wrote...

Yeah, the DLC doesn't really match up with her story in origins. It does make you wonder just how honest is she being with your warden. Was she lying in Origins? Is she lying in the DLC (and who is she telling the DLC story to for that matter)?Lady Jess wrote...
I actually agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Except for the estate but that was more "Omg not this place AGAIN???" I swear it's cursed...rofl,
But it did give me new insight, and in ways I didn't expect. I know I'll never harden her again as a result. I expected to understand her more, and I definitely did. BUT I did NOT expect to find my current PC suspicious of her. But...I actually am a little now. Not that it's a BAD way, but still it's there.
All the main points are there though. I do wish they had included a bit more about her reformation into a chantry sister since the change felt really sudden, but I suppose a sudden change isn't so hard to believe given what she went through.
Also, did anyone else fan-****** out when you met Adaia?
It matched up ok to me. And I'm trying not to be spoilerific here. But I wonder more at her true purpose at the Chantry now. I love Tug and Sketch too. i'd LOVE to see Sketch show up some day. He was adorable.

Whenever I look at this picture I just imagine Alistair saying "Awww geee Dad!" in a 5 year old voice.

Technically yes, but only because the shots I took were just sent there automatically and haven't been culled at all. I'm a terribly unvisual person so, even though I can enjoy a good cutscene or picture, I'm not particularly inspired by them (and the story I'm on now is already set, so inspiration is not needed) unless it's to include small details or force myself to figure out how to translate the feel of an image to words. I'm pretty horrible at that (whether it's an actual picture or something in my head), so it's good practice.
And I will admit that playing it was creepy, which is why Anders is already gone, but the pictures are pretty divorced from anything else because they're ultimately just Anders pixels doing Alistair pixels things and, in some cases, Zev pixels and Leliana pixels things.

This is what makes me seriously think there's no women on the dev team; even bull dykes would be going, "aww hell no!"

There's a slightly better version I know I can get, since I managed with Anders' morph. The timing just won't work for me with Alistair. I still love it, though. The Wilds lighting is so gorgeous.

Hello Alistair experts. I have a question about the Final Battle I hope you can help me with. I want to do the Ultimate Sacrifice but I accidentally turned on Alistair's romance when I gave him his mother's amulet. I also got the rose. There was no tent time and I have the relationship back to just friends. But if I take him along in the Final Battle, will he prevent my making the US?
From my memory of it you should be able to tell him you won't let him or something. I know the first time I played it he dumped my elf at the landsmeet and she was able to deliver the final blow to the archdemon. With Alistair in my group. It's been a long time since I've killed off either myself or Alistair at the end though so I may be wrong.

It depends on whether or not he's flagged still in love. How did you end the relationship?

I'm sure the man always let me kill my PC, he always seems to go right back to friends even if he gave the whole 'too tempting, too painful' blurb. He never loved her!! The b*****d!

I tried to end it when he offered the rose. I said I wasn't interested but that didn't do it. He got the message when I started a relationship with Zev, though, and with only a -9 hit to approval. The relationship is definitely now "friendly".SurelyForth wrote...

Still in love is not indicated in the approval bar. I think, by breaking up like this he should be only friendly and not too eager to get himself himself. Still in love should be set when you only break-up for the sake of the country, if I'm not mistaken.DWSmiley wrote...

The most surefire way to avoid the WC ending w/out the DR is to just leave him at the gate.DWSmiley wrote...

There's always http://social.biowar...m/project/1345/ Spoiler-ish ( although I guess not too much considering the question you were asking .) mod if you want to make sure he isn't going to run off into the archdemon if that's any help to you.. You might want to do it without having to use that though which is fair enough, just thought I'd point it out .
TOP!
