  Thanks!  I have a little more writing time on my hands now that I'm done with my part of grad school, but my boss has a list of things for me to do while she's gone.  I'm going to start working on the next section soon though!

Press release says that it's being aimed for March 2011, so apparently not, unless they've bumped the timetable up since then.  I'm still hoping for another big DAO expansion on that date, though having an expansion followed the next month by DA2 might be hard on my wallet.

Makes sense Sandi, great post. I hope you are right, though that probably means Hawke would be fully voiced...ugh. And it would have been cool if some reference about him were made in Origins, if he was supposedely such an important character. But we'll have to wait and see.

And The Beard will never look on that pretender Hawke.

I actually think the lack of mention might have been purposeful - we're told about Garahel, for instance, ending the Fourth Blight a couple of times, depending on your origin.

This might have been planned all along, and they needed to hold some info back so as not to hinder development of DA2 while people were playing DAO.  I think it's plausible anyways.  One would think the legend of the Warden who ended the First blight would be a popular one.


Oh, I had another possible thought.  They mention Hawke as having something of a rags to riches story - Hawke might be the First Warden responsible for ending the Blight, rather than the Warden who ended the Blight.  That would provide some very interesting moral dilemmas - saving villages, sacrificing troops to give your Wardens the best opportunity to defeat the darkspawn, etc.
