He could be admiting that the training is showing, not that he believes he's really wrong. ;)

That's how I took it, since at the moment his biggest complaint about Morrigan was she was an apostate and possibly maleficar.

Oh, there! Right. No, he doesn't think he's wrong. And really, he isn't. ;) It's interesting that right when Morrigan first joins the party, he says that Flemeth might be sending Morrigan along for a different reason than she says. He's right about that, too.

I think thats in the same "gossip" conversation, but yeah I didn't see it as him admitting he was wrong either. Just that his training was showing. First time I chose that option actually. Feeling rather silly I didn't do it on my mage now >.<

Heh, I don't think I've taken that one, either. I usually say 'She's useful.' I'll have to try it next time.

Ok, DA2 bit of squee from me. If you look at the dragon on the official site (where you can see the figures of all the people in the wings of the blood dragon) does the far, far left shape look like a rose to you too?

?

Link?  *cannot seem to find this*  I am a ******, plz2ignore.  The shape is too vague for me to really say, but I am pretty sure there's no Alistair in DA2.  And it looks even less like a rose looking at the blacked out version before all the shapes go white.

And lest I forget:

It looks more like a mabari head to me...but it's late and I'm fried. But it was said by one of the bioware folks that companions, and romance or lack there of haven't even been considered yet.

Wut, I didn't see anything saying that they weren't considering companions or romance options.

A BioWare game without romances? Why not just play anything else? I really doubt they're gonna get rid of that.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like 'no romances' but rather 'we haven't gotten that far yet.'

Yup, sounds more like a typical non-answer because they don't want to reveal anything, especially not when they're advertising the big Game Informer article so much.

Ok, now that I've seen Mabari heads where there probably aren't, and switched considered for confirmed, I leave you with a cozy fireside portrait before I go and attempt sleep. Clearly, I need some. Sleep, I mean.

There's a lot of info in the upcoming Game Informer issue, and once that's out, we can talk a lot more. It directly addresses a lot of the questions out there. I can say, "don't worry, you'll love this game," until I lose my voice. But it won't mean anything til you get the big infodump that's coming.

I'll say this to those who are all concerned about things being changed to reach a more massive audience. We already reached a massive audience with DA:O. It would be silly to make DA2 into something that the DA:O audience couldn't recognize.

Night!

So here I am in one of the most impressive and oldest ruins known to man, and instead of admiring them for the 7th time, I come here and what do I get? Someone daring to give Marjolaine yellow eyes!

Fortunately, there has been a pseudo fight here, Morrigan pics from Errant Knight and Sandi (thanks for that!), and Mel saying I am Xanatosaweome. Almost makes up for the heresy. Almost.

Oh and Mel, having a Fox avatar makes you technically my wife Posted Image

And no Xanatos was not abusive, she has that tattoo before marrying him, back when she was in that celebrity hero squad.

Her eyes aren't yellow:unsure:   Bite your tongue!:P
They are the amber eyes the game gives her, just brightened up by pineapple tree's replacements.

These are the only yellow eyes in my game!

Posted Image

The heresy is only in your minds eye, turing all hazel/amber eyes to yellow. Either that, or secretly you really want Marjolaine to have yellow eyes...=]

That's kind of an ironic statement considering the changes that have already been made from Origins to Awakening or Leliana's Song but I digress.

I can't say I have my hopes up on this one.  It really sounds like they're just trying to throw together a quick run of the mill action rpg to appease DA fans while they push their Starwars mmo.  Oh well, maybe one of the dlcs before then will actually be good.

I think there should be a distinction between DLCs  and a game sequel. Too many people fail to realize that these are two separate entities. Imo the DLCs are made to test audience reaction in order to better improve the sequels as well as provide more entertainment just for fun.
What he says makes perfect sense to me, especially since they mentioned in the article that everything that made DAO so popular will be enhanced. They would have to be stupid to make any drastic changes, and since after creating such an amazing game as DAO, I believe they have enough brains to create something even better. I have a feeling we won't be let down. Only those with particular expectations leave themselves open to dissapointment.
The only hope I have is that they maintain the same quality and attention to detail, character depth and story as they have in the original...and they have my vote.
Also regarding different origins and the people who are dissapointed there are none in the new game, well, I think thats why they called it Dragon age :Origins...i.e. this one focuses on and includes origins.
Otherwise they would have to call DA2 DA Origins 2...and I have a feeling that was not their plan to begin with.
(notice the Colon after DA in DA:O)

I agree, and that may be one of the purposes of Leliana's Song. In Leliana's song we get for the first time Voice Acting for the PC, like in Mass Effect. Since we just heard that the protagonist in DA2 is going to be specific individual, a human refugee named Hawke, it's entirely possible this character will also be voice acted and that they are testing the reactions from the players for this.

Hello Alistarians!  I'm still on vacation til tomorrow night but just popping in to say hello.  I wonder how freaked the senior citizens in Tim Horton's will be if I post an Alistair in flagrante delicto screenshot?

As I've absorbed the news that we'll be forced to play a Shepard, i.e. no PC elves in DA2 (epic fail Bioware!!!!), here's a requiem to Alistair-elf canoodle.

lol I guess if there were enough of those, then they wouldn't do it in the sequel. ^_^
