Yeah, I've never had it personally but I've seen them around here in New York City a few times. I was kind of amused the first time I saw one since it is so typically Canadian. I guess they're expanding.

There have been a handful in this area for a few years now.  Our friend from Canada who visits every summer enjoys the taste of home.  But they can't really compete with Dunkin Donuts around here.  You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a DD in this area.

In other exciting news, I am approaching the Landsmeet on my CEF!  Hopefully before the weekend is out, she'll have her BFF on the throne.

You know I am very worried about DA2, when even what appears to be Loghain art manages to make me Posted Image

Is the other one Cailan? Looks like intro art like we have now when you start a new game, only not darkspawn.

I think so too Jess. I think this art is when the intro would talk about the civil war.

I have to admit I'm kind of looking forward to this. Wonder when my magazine will be here...

Huh.  This is being given as art for DA2?  If that really is Loghain and Cailan, and it is the intro art, then I guess it rules out a prequel, doesn't it?

T'would seem that way, yes. Unless it's Maric, not Cailan. But there was no blight during Maric's rule so that seems unlikely.

That, and the gold armor is very Cailan.  And Loghain has a knife behind his back....  While the books did mention Loghain betraying Maric, looking at the pic makes me think it's supposed to be Cailan.  Where is this from, btw?

I guess we know how alistair feels about a DA game without him.

Keep an eye out on whether the PC is fully voiced or not and on this new combat system. Right now, I am worried the most about those. 10 pages of DA2 ought to cover at least one of them.

Looking at that again, any thoughts as to what the missing middle section might be?

Hrm, so some sort of monster?  Stylized dragon maybe?

Voiced?!  Damn you, give links when you mention stuff like that!

*grumbles*

In this pic, Alistair represents my love for DAO.  The spikes represent what Bioware has done by making a voiced PC.

I can only feel a very solid meh about the whole thing. On one hand I like the fact they are changing the combat system to be more action based and are making Hawke voiced....but the downgrading of Dwarves to the support role as they are in other fantasy is a tough cup to swallow...

I am not so sad for the removal of my favorite companions from Dragon Age: Origins. I knew the moment I saw Loghain in the Vigil that I would never see him again in any other Dragon Age game and the addition of the Epilogue slides had long confirmed that there was not going to be more visiting Orzammar and Fereldan.

Darnit, there goes my theory.

3. Hawke didn't just survive the blight...he escaped it.
As
the Grey Warden from Dragon Age: Origins was fighting darkspawn, Hawke
was living in Lothering. Fans will remember that the small village was
raided and destroyed (an event that occurred off-screen in Origins), and
Hawke was one of the survivors. However, rather than stay and fight the
darkspawn menace, Hawke flees Ferelden and heads north.

Well, there goes the enthusiasm I had.  Motherf!cker.

So Hawke is from Lothering, and is a Fereldan.  But he ends up coming to power in the Free Marches.  So we should hear about our Wardens, as the game might take places, at least part of it, concurrent with the events in DAO and DAOA.  Hopefully, we do get an opportunity to say what our decisions in-game were.

I know, Alistair.  I know.  *pat-pats*
