Why would more ME-style games be more console-friendly than DA-style ones? I play both on console and I never got the impression. Well, unless you're talking about all the modding.

Because the sheer amount of abilities / spells in DA:O is better suited on PCs, then the small amount of that in ME which is more and more establishing itself as a 3rd peson shooter than an RPG game mechanics wise.
Plus, tactical pause and combat featured in DA:O is better sited on PCs, while ME is trying to deliver a more real time combat system.

I am a console player, and I love DA:O because it was built with PCs in mind. If I had a better PC, I would have gotten it there for sure.

In all honesty though. It seems to me that people who would prefer Dragon Age remains as it where prefer a book over a movie. I prefer the movie, for as much as I liked reading the LOTR Books the movies where incredibly awesome. ( and you can bet your ass that most people feel the same ).

I love majorative statements like this. I often find that when I talk most people agree mostly with most of what I say most of the time mostly.

People will get over it to a degree. However, there are some things they won't get over. The love interests thing isn't one of them, because in all honesty, I didn't expect DA2 to involve my Warden.

I will probably get DA2, especially if I have some gamestop cards by then. I will come to terms with some of the things being done differently. Hell, I'll probably like some of them. Others, not so much. Having what my Warden did in DAO be pushed to the side and overshadowed might be one of those things, but I'll give that a wait and see. And I very much doubt I will ever be "Yay! Voiced PC!" And if I do, slap me. There are just some things that intrinsically turn me off, and that is one of them. *shrugs*

No Alistair in this one, but he's right behind Lya!  I swear!

This.  Additionally live action rpgs have a higher appeal to the FPS as a rule type gamer.  My X loved ME & ME2 but wouldn't give DA:O the time of day.  He said it was boring and the combat was sh!te.

Better than vanishing with no trace for no apparant reason...even when you would expect she would have royal guards to ensure that such a thing wouldn't happen. Arrghh this is making Arcturus look bad!!

*points*  Right there.  Part of her shoulder armor is blocking it, but you can see her face and her hair.

You know, about Hawke. Someone suggested he might be the kid you meet in Lothering by the bridge....hmm. I could see that as a starting point for a male Hawke.

If I have to accept that my character just disappeared for no apparent reason, and I can just imagine my own story is whatever, I think I'm going to follow someone to Orlais and live in sin and eat cake.

I'm not the Queen, though, so I'm allowed. I don't know how to help you fix your story. Posted Image

Were there any girl children in Lothering that could be the female Hawke?

I really hate this BS. Posted Image
So I am just ignoring it. Arcturus is stil ruling alongside Anora and they are making good progress and slowly turning Ferelden into a major power. In fact, I and Xandur thought a lot about possible reforms and development opportunities.

Children could flee Ferelden, too, and would have even more of a reason that a combat-trained adult.

I agree having Hawke as a child would make a bit more sense in plenty of ways

"Fans will remember that the small village was raided and destroyed (an event that occurred off-screen in Origins), and Hawke was one of the survivors. However, rather than stay and fight the darkspawn menace, Hawke flees Ferelden and heads north."

This implies choice, which hints at him being an abled man capable of fighting, but chose not to fight. Possibly a late teenager at the time.
I of course could be wrong.
