Re. the discussion of DA2 yesterday, I'm pretty indifferent tbh.  I had accepted, with the absence of a post-campaign save in Awakening, that that was the last we'd see of our Wardens.  I'd bet the farm that it was also the last we'll see of Alistair.  If the DLCs have taught me anything, it's that there is no must-buy to something just because it has Dragon Age slapped on it.  I don't like the trajectory the franchise is on, but I'm willing to be surprised.  This announcement just sounds suspiciously like Dragon Effect to me.  Which means I can feel free to pass on it.

I'm with you on DA2.  I'm not all that excited about what I'm hearing so far, but I'm willing to be surprised and I'm not going to pass a judgment on it just yet.  But I feel no obligation to go out and get it just because it's Dragon Age.  Either I'll be interested, or I won't, when it comes out.

I actually enjoyed it too, it was a nice bit of story & fighting. I loved Sketch & Tug, and had fun with Leliana.  Even though KoP accused me of giving Marjolaine yellow eyes Lighting! I can't help what the lighting did to her evil amber eyes!

It will take me a while to catch up on this thread alone!

I did start an Idun story while on vacation, though it was so bloody hot that sitting with a laptop was nearly intolerable.  And frankly, my interest in DAO has really waned with the new announcements.  I'd like to finish Idun's story though.

I just saw that it's been confirmed this is going to be Dragon Effect- voiced PC, etc.  So that's that.  I'd buy another Gaider novel if he writes one, but I'm not going to play a voiced PC.  I'll still be interested to see where the story goes.  Spoilers can take care of that.

I'm just going to ignore the DA2, and play what I like... DAO ! I have two new PCs to finish, that are at Ostagar. My AdrianPaul, There can be only one!, and my Dalish Mafia member, who still might get a hair cut & face lift.

Cant help it either I have to veer away from starting a romance with him. I actually felt bad for him with my CE.

God forbid, I am actually warming up to DA2 a bit. I don't even know why. *shrug* I guess because I was 99.9% certain this was the direction they were going in. It doesn't stop me from loving DA:O (and Alistair)
