I am not mad or sad about DA2 at all. Actually, I am quite interested. Right now I'm chillin' and playing my dwarf and also recovering from completely disassembling my bed frame and putting it back together (using a lot of twine on one part, lol) with a messed up knee.

Lol. I also decided to say F~CK IT to The Stolen Throne and started reading The Calling which is a much more interesting story and less Loghain infested :x

Mmmm, delicious Alistair...  *drools*

I am interested in DA2, even if I have reservations about a couple things.  I will probably buy it, unless I hear some absolutely terrible news.

Little absolutely O/T public service announcement:  I finished the Song of Ice and Fire novels.  I wasn't sure the last one was going to live up to the others, but it got me in the end.  Then I get to the author's post-note explaining he had cut book four in half and hoped to have the next book out within a year.  Now I understand why Martin fans are up in arms that it's been four years and no sign of the continuation even though Martin said most of it was already written.  Especially sad since Jon Snow (the one who reminds me of Alistair) didn't appear much in the fourth.  :(

Yeah, this is why I'm not reading these books until he's done, despite all the good stuff I hear about them.  I've gotten burned with unfinished series before, and I'd just rather not go there if I know about it in advance.  There are  very few authors I'm willing to read in progress, and they're all old favorites.

Have there been series that didn't finish? I thought authors were under contract to finish their books?

I don't think it was abandoned, just delayed. A lot.

Wheel of Time is the worst offender.  Of course, it's not exactly Jordan's fault since he died, but there's still the matter that he took two years minimum to finish a book and had so many loose ends by the time he did die that they're almost maddeningly impossible to follow (especially if you haven't touched the series in two years).

But he got another writer to finish his books, so I don't really think they're abandoned.

Yeah, but I'm not going to read them.  LIke I said, he left off in a convoluted mess - I'd have to read the whole series again to figure out what the heck was going on, and while I loved the first six books, they just began to die off for me after that.

Had I waited, I don't think I would have even started the series.  I'm waiting for Martin to get things back together and start writing again before I start reading, good as they're supposed to be.

@Sandtigress -- I love seeing your enthusiasm for the screenshots you're sharing now that you have the PC game. Makes me smile when I see you posting 'em! Back to your regularly scheduled thread. ;)

I couldn't get into WoT, because it tried to seem more awesome than it was. Rand is so awesome, he has THREE wives! Wow! He must be a real man's man. And he won't kill women and gets depressed when women die in his service. He's a true gentleman, surely:pinched: Pisses me off too much for me to get into it.

Dunno how many have seen this, but Swooping is Bad has a very nice succinct post of DA2 info so far. Including what's been confirmed, which by the way..has me a bit excited.

Also, someone tie and gag me, hubby is playing a dalish and I'm really trying not to say DAMMIT TALK TO PEOPLE!!!

I have to say, seeing that has made me a lot happier. I'm really looking forward to DA2, despite the changes.

Meh.  I'm having a hard time getting excited about this game.  Aside from the whole voiced PC/dialogue wheel, the fact that the Flemeth/Morrigan storyline is carrying on (and may even conclude) WITHOUT our wardens is... irritating.  Even if the game was as immersive as DAO (which I doubt) I'll have a hard time getting into playing this Hawke dude with all the unanswered questions about Morri in the back of my mind.

Being fully voiced, with only 1 option for your "origin," I can't imagine this game will have nearly the same kind of replay value as DAO.  Pretty bummed tbh.

Though the pics released so far are intriguing.

I haven't seen anything solid about Morrigan/Flemeth?

Heh, it just amuses me that I always complained about wanting a human commoner so bad and now I am pretty much forced to play one.

I guess because I did not romance Morrigan her story possibly continuing without the Warden is a non-issue for me, but I can see why it is annoying.

Flemeth was confirmed as returning in DA2, so I would assume Morrigan will be as well.  I don't have the link offhand though.

Yeah, the only thing I saw is that Morrigan is not Hawke's mom xD If she does show up at some point it wouldn't be such a surprise... but being the rabid fangirl I am I'd want a small Alistair cameo at least :P Though if they do something like marry him off to some random chick or kill him off then maybe I don't want that cameo... heh. Unlikely, since some people do kill him off in Origins.

Well since we can import our wardens I wouldn't be surprised if we see ourselves make a cameo appearance at some point.  Maybe even in Lothering

But I really don't want to deal with the Flemeth/Morrigan/god baby story without my warden.  That's just bs.  Screw this Hawke dude <_<

Is that officially official or is it just from websites? I am hesitant to believe stuff that isn't confirmed officially yet, but if it does import from our save it could be verrrrry interesting.

Well Flemeth was never dead to start with. Even Morrigan tells you she isn't.

Yeah, I am just wondering where the "print magazine" info came from. Who got their hands on a copy already? Who do I have to jump? :police:

Maybe it is a journalist? I think journalists are allowed to get issues before they technically release.

Blah, ToP. Alistair by proxy.
