ANYWAY. It may be that someone got an advance copy, but where does it say that? Who got it? Where's the proof? I need evidence!!! *froths at mouth*

A few different people claim to have gotten advanced copies IIRC. No one can post scans here though.yukidama wrote...

Oh, I don't need scans, just some sort of more official source than that. I don't even doubt what is being said, but, well, seeing is believing. I dunno, I am actually pretty excited for DA2. Not the crazy brown-nosing obsessive blind love that some asskissers on the DA2 forums have, but I am quite intrigued. Yet skeptical as hell at the same time somehow xD
I guess I trust the writers to give us something good even if it may not be exactly what I wanted.

I don't mind the single Hawke persona at all because I get why they're doing it this way, but part of me dreads what they'll do with romances. After Alistair and Morrigan sad endings, I'm extremely skeptical that they won't JUST LET US BE HAPPY. =p

Happy endings are weak compared to bad endings, or so I say.
As it was said on Grey Wardens.com "Would anyone remember Casablance if Rick had boarded the plane?"

I really want to import a world state from my canon game. That would make me very happy. Throw in maybe a few cutscenes from our Warden to bridge things and I'll be even happier.
I wonder what the default world state will be.

There is a default ending to Dragon Age:Origins, if you use cheats to trigger the epilogue slides.
Alistair King, Bhelen King, Mages Saved, Anvil Destroyed. Zathrian helped with killing the werewolves.

Considering how much from DAO was carried over into Awakenings, I'm not getting my hopes up. They could surprise me though.LadyDamodred wrote...

That said, I wonder if Awakenings is included or if we're importing straight from Origins.

Probably straight from Origins since there is not post-ending fight in Awakenings.

There is a good reason to that though...someone might not be willing to talk with the Werewolves after getting attacked by them a few times before running into Swiftrunner, and he doesn't give the best impression either.

It's usually a good idea to hear people out unless you think they're just stalling for time so they can escape/kill you.Costin_Razvan wrote...

Well there is, everything you'd need to import is auto saved right before the Mother. So it can be done, I don't /think/ you can spare her, but it's been ages since I've played it through. But, I do agree it has to be Orgins since part of DA2 happens during the blight.

That would be funny. I spent 40 bucks on an expansion I played once and it doesn't even tie in to the canon story. Lovely.Kryyptehk wrote...

Bhelen King, really? Because when I was messing with the Orzammar debugger, it often assumes you're siding with Harrowmont. Huh.

Sure there the military order that can be formed...but that's a Fereldan thing. Then there are Ser Alec's Knights, which would be a weak order even in ten years.
Honestly, the major choices that would play any role in Dragon Age 2 would be if and who you decided to recruit into the Wardens.....and I can't see any of your companions making a stop in the Free Marches: Oghren/Nathaniel/Anders/Sigrun are either in Amaranthine, dead or missing ( in Sigrun's case ). Velanna also is missing by that point.
Bhelen King, really? Because when I was messing with the Orzammar debugger, it often assumes you're siding with Harrowmont. Huh.
Yes, using the debugger with auto-option on does mean you side with Harrowmont, but using the cheat to start the epilogue makes you side with Bhelen.
It's usually a good idea to hear people out unless you think they're just stalling for time so they can escape/kill you.
That's easy to say when your neck isn't on the line....if I was there in person as my Warden I would be very VERY distrustful of the Werewolves after being attacked by dozens of them.

Agreeing to listen to their side of the story hardly equals trusting them and this way they'll take you right to the Lady.Costin_Razvan wrote...

Yeah, I'm starting to think that it was just a small side story for our characters. But if they aren't going to finish our character's story, I will be seriously pissed off. I mean, it would have been hella easy to give an acceptable, though slightly open ending.
"The Warden was said to travel Thedas with her/his elven lover, Zevran."
"The Queen went back to court to be with her husband, Alistair. They were said to rule fairly and justly."
Blah, blah, blah. You know what I'm tryin to say.
