They show up with the Improved Atmosphere mod. There are cows, goats, and sheep everywhere with this mod.
That's wild! I entered camp, and all of a sudden I heard cow mooing...looked all over for that thing...
it was especially funny when alistair asks you to bed and that cow mooing in between his words...
I guess that's the modders way of signing his work

I bet Sten and Leliana have cameos.
This is husband's plan right now. He pre-ordered DAO, but is sufficiently put off by the changes that skepticism reigns at Chez Addai.Edit: I'm actually looking forward to the game dropping in price so I can pick it up, probably next May! Hah, would be funny if Hawkes was the one survivor of Sten.
P.S. And I want cows. I don't want Improved Atmosphere, but cows would have been cool.

LOL...as I was posting it, I started cracking up again, right as one of my coworkers came in my office and said "What are you smirking at?". Luckily, he's a buddy so I didn't have to hide it real quick...haha.

Why cows of all things?
Though that would explain where the cheese comes from.

Everyday on my commute I pass a pasture with white cows, not sure what kind those are. But there are always baby cows that are ADORABLE. They're arell shaggy and fuzzy and awkward and I want to hug and cuddle them.
But then they grow up and become big and dumb.
Our neighbor raises calves and we have a huge pasture across the street from us (never mind the seven or eight others on my way home). I find skippy little calves to be almost puppy levels of adorable.
But, yeah. They are less awesome when they get big and dumb and they hide behind a tree and moo boo me when I check the mailbox.

I can handle baby cows - they are cute. But adult cows just terrify me, and I have no idea why. I mean, I'm not a country girl but I am from a small town in East Texas that had a major livestock exchange not far from where I live. I saw cows all the time! But they just scare me!
Elephants, giraffes, killer whales, tigers, those are all "Ooo, cool!" Cows are eek!

I actually had a fear of cows shortly after playing ME1. There are things called Shifty Eyed Cows that follow you and steal your money. I have a bad fear of stuff following me without my knowledge, so that really scared me when I first saw the cow.
