I can handle baby cows - they are cute.  But adult cows just terrify me, and I have no idea why.  I mean, I'm not a country girl but I am from a small town in East Texas that had a major livestock exchange not far from where I live.  I saw cows all the time!  But they just scare me!

Elephants, giraffes, killer whales, tigers, those are all "Ooo, cool!"  Cows are eek!

I actually had a fear of cows shortly after playing ME1. There are things called Shifty Eyed Cows that follow you and steal your money. I have a bad fear of stuff following me without my knowledge, so that really scared me when I first saw the cow.

Huh... I must not have been paying attention. I just finished ME, and don't remember any Cows. Or things stealing my money. I'll have to replay after I finish ME2.

And you fine people are the first, who when I said I pass cows on my commute, didn't say "WTF Aren't you from Jersey!?!?!?"

I was going to, but I'm from Indiana. I'm supposed to assume there are cows everywhere.

Just saw this... I did have improved atmosphere, and then removed it, but the cows stayed behind. I guess they just liked it there in camp :D :D

I encountered them once before I actually found out what they were. I didn't notice that they stole money from you until I looked up the Shifty Eyed Cow, thinking it might be part of a mission or something. When I read what it did, I loaded my save (which was right next to it!) and got in the Mako and ran its ass over.

This is seriously the first thing I've ever heard or read about ME that makes me want to play it.

Okay, I decided to try another armor before I went to the trouble of actually messing with the texture map itself. Keep in mind that the white metal is still a little too white, but.... Which do you think is better (in the original, I'm looking for a way to change the black and do something about the glowy front piece, but need to deal with the tint maps for that).

Sandi, I have family in TX so I go there all the time.  One time after I came back a *cough* smart co-worker asked me if I rode horses while I as there.  This is literally how the conversation went:

Co-Worker: Did you ride horses?
Me: No
CW:  Why not?
Me: Um....because I didn't?
CW:  Doesn't everyone have a horse down there?
Me: Um, no
CW: I thought they had to have a horse
Me: ......no
CW: Oh. two horses?

LOL  You'd be surprised, people think it all the time!

Where in TX is family?  Not that everything in TX isn't hours away from everthing else.  :P

Did you want the Toolset files for the Kal'Hirol armor?

Like the tint maps? Sure, that would be awesome!! You're on MSN with Lady Damodred, right? If you transfer the files to her, she can sent them ot me in AOL (I screws up the MSN registration and can't use it now)

I always shoot the creatures I encounter on planets because they freak me out. I suspect this makes me a bad person...

In other news, when driving back from Indiana a week ago we actually stopped and got ice cream at a cow museum. I never feel as urban as I do when I'm in Indiana.

@Sandi: My family is originally from Louisiana, and kind of migrated to TX. They spread from Beaumont, Houston, Galveston, to Dallas/Ft. Worth. Most of them are in the DFW area.

Nice.  ^-^  I'm just north of Houston now, but most of my extended family lives in the DFW area too, except me and my parents.  Ideally, that's where I'd like to end up - I'd love to be  a part of my niece's life while she's growing up like my brother is.

Right now it's all set up so that the Toolset will read it as an Item Variation.  The only thing is the files are only setup for a human male.  I didn't do everyone since Cme was only looking to use it on the Alistair creature.

lol. I feel that way when I go on any roadtrips. I didn't see a live cow until I was 8, on a girlscout field trip to an actual farm.

On ME I went out of my way not to kill the animals on the planets, I always felt bad when I accidently smushed them in the mako. But, I take great glee in shooting humanoid creatures :D

Don't underestimate the power of the cow! lol.

Some of the things in Improved Atmosphere really like to stay around. Probably if you go to Denerim in my savegame, there will be a lot of naked people!

The Toolset won't read the dds files w/o gda/mao/mmh files to go w/ them.  I sent LD the files so you can access them in the Toolset.  It will work with any human male but will be invisible w/ anyone else.
