Probably sadder than the time I've put into the game is the fact I have characters I've never played and might never do so (like a human mage since I hate playing mages and already have an elf one in progress or my male dwarf noble since I don't enjoy playing males). But, you know, the fanfiction demanded their existence!

LOL, yes.

The sad thing is that I still haven't made it through with a Mahariel or a Surana (will probably never happen, TBH) and I still don't feel like I have a definitive Brand Cousland playthrough under my belt. Lucilla Amell is laid to rest (my current Lu Amell is similar in name only), but Brand has been my Test Subject since January and I've never actually gotten to the end with her and thought "That was perfect."

Even though Mistress Chancellor Lucilla Amell is set, I'd say Warrior Brand is my canon character, just because I love her stupid stubborness so damn much and (because I've written all kinds of fic for her) she's the most totally fleshed out, even though I haven't gotten her canon story right yet.

I meant the Surana will never happen! Ron is definitely going to the end. I want all that Morrigan romance heartache and he needs to go through Awakening so he can meet Sigrun and think she's awesome!

Just a comment here that I agree with the above poster insofar as there's no need to shout down people who are being critical of the game (or at least what they've seen of it so far, as limited as that might be). While some people can indeed get a little heavy on the dramatics, you all are indeed invited to comment... and just because someone's tired of hearing the complaints is no need to refer to people as "whiners".

Polite feedback of all kinds is welcome, and I would hope we're all mature enough to remember that.

I tried to go to Gamestop and get a copy last night, BTW (why am I such a sad sack about this game?  why?) but they would only sell to people who sign up for a subscription.

I have this image of Ron being unable to sleep in the Vigil, and Sigrun hanging out with him so they can be all "Ooooo! Stars!" together and possibly fall in love over their mutual adoration of kitsch.
