I find mages really boring if they're not arcane warriors. I just have to run in and hit things, even if I have the ability to blow them up.

Really?  I prefer melee over magic too, but if I'm playing a mage I like nukers over AWs...

If I'm going to melee, I'll do it on a warrior who actually has skills!  Playing an AW is pretty much just auto attacking all game.  It doesn't get much more boring than that. -_-

She isn't pretty enough.

Edit: In comparison to Ron.

She got to couple with Ron to make a genetically deficient child at least.

Not if you have a mod that gives your AW weapon skills :P But even without the mod I like having the option of blowing dudes up at a distance but smacking them with a weapon if they get too close.

I don't really understand how anyone can have any mage issues what-so-ever they're hands down the most op class in the game AW or not. Grease, Earthquake, Fireball, Chain Lightning, Fireball then rinse and repeat. I never found a need/want to ever use Inferno, Blizzard or Tempest.

They are totally OP, although less so when they first start out. The more powers you get... well. By Awakening even NM is like playing on Easy.

I like to start out with Sleep, and of course Mana Clash for any other mages. Although, sometimes that feels like cheating. Most the time I use the personal one on one spells to bring down the enemies my guys are fighting. And I love shattering people when they're in the cone of cold :D

The only thing I ever use Inferno, Blizzard,  or Tempest  on is the Arch Demon when it flies across where you can't reach it. Especially since I don't usually spec out my tanks to get into my line of fire without getting themselves hurt. I need to be careful of my friendly fire. Alistair has learned his lesson by now, I hope.

The only times I use AW as a spec is on my healers so they can wear massive armor.  Like Paladwynne!

It's actually pretty imba.

Their child is perfectly genetically normal!  Sheesh, haven't you read the story?!

Krypp - not yet, it's half-done.  Been down with migraines all week, have some drugs to try tonight that might help?  I hope so, the migraines chase away the muses!

I remember seeing a family tree where they were both her parents and siblings.

Edit: Siblings all three of them that is.

Poor Sandi, I'd give you some Ron-shaped painkillers but I don't want to get in trouble for distributing drugs:bandit:...can you get in trouble for giving people Tylenol in the shape of fictional characters?

Anyway, tell when you get it done.

Yes, well, that was an early pass before the story of how it all happened came to be!  :wizard:

Yeah, Yukielf is my only mage, and she's an AW. She is mostly healing/supporting so it gets really boring if I can't at least jump in and cut off some baddies' heads in the meantime. She actually has like 2-3 offensive spells, so it's pretty limiting.

It's a singleplayer game, I don't mind cheating myself :P I haven't actually used that mod yet, I've yet to see how well it works.

lol  Probably not, except that I'm not supposed to take extra acetamenophen with my drugs since it has it in there.  :P  I will pretend that mine are shaped like Ron and Alistair though!

Yes, go warriors!  I have very few rogue characters - I mostly like to get in there and kill things alongside Alistair!

I always play rogues as in-your-face.  If they get backstabs, it's gravy.  If Alistair can Taunt, enemies usually turn around to face him and it's a win-win.

I tried logging on tonight and I'm so bored with the game in addition to being mad.  :(

I've been playing ME & ME2. I've gone over to the dark side :(

As a rogue -- I did have fun with a high dex/dualist build using DW skills. She was very in your face. But usually I end up going the cunning/rogue route. I really enjoy using tactics and trying to master all their skills in the most optimal way...  I know, that even sounds nerdy to me :?

But what can I say, I'm all about a challenge. And mastering the taint, of course! :D

I actually feel sympathy for all the crap I put Ali through when I see my PC looking all annoyed and contorted with pain!

I just came across this shot. I think I took it imaging I would get rid of the background and put different pictures there with Alistair commentary.

LOL It's surely not that convoluted...then again, I keep surprising the others, thank goodness.  :P  I've always thought myself a predictable writer.

Anyways!

Part II
Part III
Part IV

Part V is half-way done and I'm working on it a bit now!

lol Poor Brand looks very long-suffering there....

And LOL at Alistair!  That is hilarious.  "Um, can I put some clothes on first?  Please?  Pretty please with a cherry on top?"

I know, I just like doing tons of damage as a warrior.

My rogues do tons of damage.  High hit rate + speed, with backstab for added oomph.  I can't imagine a warrior would do more.

It all comes down to preferred playstyle, though.
