Heh....I just noticed Hawkgirl/Hawke. I've been calling her that since before we knew Hawke's name, but just noticed now its the same. Yes, I'm that slow. I'm blonde, give me a break.

Lol, well I'm totally gonna name my femhawke Lady Hawke. I know I know, not original but I loved the movie....Mel_Redux wrote...
Interesting....so I'm guessing Hawkgirl from the promo art is Hawke's sister or Flemeth?

I'll give you a soothing Alistair pic against the stressMel_Redux wrote...
I'm going to have a tough time naming Hawke.... I name all my canon VG characters Melania. But since DA2 runs parallel to DAO, and my warden is named Melania, should I name Hawke Melania too?? Maybe pretend its a common name in Thedas?? Oh, the stress!!!!
If Hawke was from Lothering and you're playing a HN then you can RP that she was older and Hawke was named after the Teyrn's daughter. That kind of thing happens IRL all the time.Mel_Redux wrote...

So, I got a working version of the armor I've been making, and took it out for a test. The idea was to make something of similar coloration to the Kal Hirol Armor, but slightly more understated--if that word can be used to describe gold and white armor.I have another tint that's similar, but reversed that I'll do something with, but it isn't here now. It was a real struggle to minimize some artifacts that occured when lightening the black parts of the armor. I haven't completely suceeded, but it's usable...
It's shown here next to the Kal Hirol, which I recreated a few weeks ago with more reasonable stats for Origins. Hmmm... Seeing these two together makes me wonder if I should make the gold more gold.
Going lighter is always a pain in the ass. It looks good.

Alistair misses the loveI wish I could turn the squee back on, but when Bioware screws with the game, the spell is broken. I tried playing last night because I'm determined to finish Idun's game, but it's boring and feels like a chore.
If they announce some halfway decent DLC, maybe it will perk my interest again.
I've been lucky (or unlucky, if you consider the timesink it has become) that DAO hasn't bothered me migraine-wise. I tried to go back to Oblivion, however, and the constantly shifting landscape and dim dungeons were painful.Sandtigress wrote...
Stop giving me migraines when I play, Alistair, and I'll get to where Kara actually can give you some love! *shakes her fist* I might have figured it out on my desktop - I think that since the monitor is a teeny bit high for my chair it makes me look up which causes neck strain which sets off the migraines? I've been considering getting a different desk anyways - looks like I might have a "health" reason to do so!

He's looking excited as well. I do think we will see him, at least as king, in DA2. Or maybe I'm too optimistic.yukidama wrote...
Where is everyoneeeee. I'm being forced to look at DA2 threads and think I am kind of excite even so many are ~disappoint~~.

You use the spell o' purple goggles?? That freaks me out. It's like gaming on LSD (or what I imagine that would be like). I do usually try to get that Ring of Khajiiti thing asap, that gives you Detect Life if I recall it correctly.SurelyForth wrote...
I have to use some sort of night vision apparatus in Oblivion, otherwise I'm just flailing in darkness for hours on end and that's no fun at all. Of course, the night vision stuff gives me a headache after awhile, so that curbs my playing quite a bit.
Right? Whatever they did, that's a good thing.I have to admit that, for me (and I'm someone who gets very motion sick playing most video games) DAO has probably been the best rpg game I've played for not triggering headaches, nausea or weird synesthesia issues.
Very disappoint.yukidama wrote...
