Actually, a lot of people there are very upset. Not all of those are upset about the same things, but I'd say that at least half the people on that forum have serious misgivings, and many of them are quite angry about it.

Alot of things sound promising in DA2, as I never really thought it would be a continuation of DAO. What does worry me is that they will not have another expansion to truly finish up DAO, since they are going on a whole new story and everything. Too much left open. especially givem Awakenings and the Architect question. That bugs me the most.

I like the idea of a story spanning a decade, giving the possibility to actually watch a character's life change and evolve over a long period of time. I do not, however, like the idea of a canned character, and I'm disappointed that they have not carried over the concept of different origins, which really made DA unique. It gave virtually endless possibilities in perspective, roleplay, and outcome, and added a personal touch. I also dislike being limited to playing human. What...no dwarves in Lothering or the Free marches? Get serious.

It's too early to say for certain, and I am more than happy to wait and see what develops with DA2. A new story would be great, but leaving DAO and Awakening hanging with no resolution, after all that happened, that would be a serious crime.

So I shall continue to hope for another expansion.

If it was a whole new game, I'd find that interesting. As it is, it puts my warden and Alistair ten years closer to death with no hand in what happens in their lives. Not so keen on that.

Do you have the No Helmet Rulebook in your inventory?  Try toggling someone and see if the helmet disappears.  Though IIRC I only had to toggle on a helmet, so that may not be it.

It's obvious which one got toggled on....

Speaking of Sims 3 and me infiltrating Mel's brain (or something), I have been trying to upload Alistair for the past hour. I did have him chilling in the launcher, but now I can't even open that up right. It will come up and then disappear with no explanation or anything. At least it's not locking up my computer like it did when I first started updating everything. I might have to reinstall the EA download manager or something to rectify this issue.

I committed some slight treason sacrilege and put Alistair hair on Anders (but it had the earring). It made him seem very...not like a man who would be sincerely flirting with his female commander.

Also, I hate all of you who can get your player profiles to update just by thinking about it. Mine have not updated since late May and I have two nice pics for Ron and Brand.

Did you download Alistair from somewhere or make him yourself? Because I'd be willing to face heartache to have Alistair in my game.

That hair is just bad.  It's testament to Alistair's sheer, overwhelming virility that he makes it look good.  Obviously, Anders could never pull this off.

My profile always updates as long as our files aren't overloaded.  Sorry!  I'll give you a profile clicky to see if that helps.

I used to have a problem where my game would close by itself. It would be like I pressed the x button on the top, it wouldn't even freeze or get an error or anything.

My solution? Not install their updates. After emailing back and forth with EA about the issue, I told them that none of their "solutions" worked (playing windowed was one of their helpful hints) and that I had figured out what the problem was but now I don't have any of their patches. Their response "Good. Just play without the updates. DEAL WITH IT. BAI!"
