I think me and Brand can be Pervstache buddies. We could compare 'stache tales and such.

Definitely. She needs some tips on grooming; that thing is starting to looking a bit bristly.

And for Mel, even though she's probably already offline (as I should be):

See? I knew it would work out. I get a shiny new Anders sig and you get Ron back.

And have I mentioned that there's a better avatar waiting in my computer? I did? Well, it won't kill you all to hear it for the millionth time.

SV on Twitter:  "Haven't played yet, would be weird."  Cute.  I think he should romance himself.  Then execute himself, for the lulz.

It would be way weird to play yourself and especially to romance yourself.

Definitely!

And I have to go to bed. I am going to be an actual brain munching zombie at work tomorrow.

Like Mel, I leave an Alistair. It's my favorite Alistair expression with an I Hope That Shrubbery Back There Isn't Poisonous or Something :? twist:

Four hours??? I am disappoint.

I am so glad my picture prompted such discussion. I am now imagining Alistair having to sit certain activities out because of his sunburnt junk. It's motivating Brand to get some armor on him post haste.

I also had a thought this morning about DA2 and how it could all tie together with DAO in a future sequel. Have BW confirmed that Morrigan/Flemeth will be involved in the story or will MIKE HAWKE! just meet them? Because, and this is just rampant, rampant spec with no basis in reality at all, what if Flemeth drives MIKE HAWKE! to his fate the same way she drives the Warden to her/his fate? It occurred to me that she could have a whole master plan even beyond Old God Baby and it requires MIKE HAWKE! as much as it does the DR. I've always thought the "mysterious" disappearance at the end of Awakening had something to do with Morrigan, so maybe she would be the focus of the third game.

Of course, this means that the DR would be canon, but I can't imagine that they would let that stop them.

*blinkblink* Sandi is up....and probably driving to Dallas tonight because ria is still stuck in Denver and gets to Dallas for an 8 hour layover tomorrow morning. That's ridiculous, Dallas is 3 hours away from here.

If only we could afford plane tickets! Anyone want to lend us 200 bucks? :-P

Well, the Orlesian Warden doesn't disappear, do they? So that could mean something. Although you disappear Loghain/Alistair sacrifice imports too, right?

I don't know for certain, although I was under the impression that Loghain/Alistair sacrifice imports were pretty broken (as in Loghain sometimes still showed up and Alistair would be magically reunited with his beloved in the epilogue).

The Orlesian Warden gets suddenly called back to Weisshaupt, so he/she disappears in a sense too.

I do wager that Flemeth is going to drive MIKE HAWKE! to his fate the same way she did the Warden.  (Doesn't "the Warden" seem so bland in comparison to Steve Holt!'s alter-ego??)  The GI article shows Flemeth appearing as a large dragon who grabs a darkspawn in her claws, then transforms into Flemeth, saying as she sees MIKE HAWKE!, "Well, what have we here?"  That sounds to me pretty much like Korcari Wilds 2.0.

Much as I hate to perpetuate the puppy-eyes, Bioware has pretty much killed my enthusiasm for the franchise at this point.

In fact, since I also have finished the Song of Ice and Fire series, I'm at a bit of a loss for timewasting material.  I've got lots of serious reading backed up in the queue, but nothing under "absorbing world to get lost in."  Any suggestions?  I know some of you are Wheel of Time fans.  Is it worth it to read the early books even though the series was never finished?

If you do not mind dark adult content, I enjoyed the Kushiel series from Jaqueline Carey. Part 1 is called Kushiel's Dart. I really enjoyed the first 3 books. The second 3 were not bad but didn't live up to the first I think.

Books 1-5 are *awesome*.  And then...not so much.  I can't even finish book 11.

I highly recommend the Dark Tower series from Stephen King.  It sucked my soul away and I loved it.
