Hmmm, a melee rogue vs a S&S warrior.  Not that Ali isn't awesome, because he IS, but he wouldn't stand a chance unfortunately.  At least not if Zev was built right!  Loghain goes down in less than 10 seconds on nightmare to Zevran.  Alistair takes quite a bit longer!

I agree, actually. Using dual daggers along with Momentum, Coup de Grace, and a few stuns, it doesn't take too long bringing enemies down. But if you were to pit the two against each other... I don't know, really. I'm tempted to say Zevran, but I'm partial to rogue skills so I'm not the best person to judge. Sword and Shield has a good set of skills too, though.

I don't bash Zev. I love him. Seriously he is the best and loyal friend one can have and I love the depth of his back story. But for me is the emphasis on 'friend', that's it.



It's a matter of priorities. Period.



Better people? That still sounds too much of a competition

I actually like Alistair a lot more better then Zevran. I find Alistair more of a better friend, and Zevran doesnt measure up to Alistair friendship wise, you know?

I think an Alistair/Zevran battle might come down to, in D&D terms, a roll of the dice. Both guys, in their uberest stuff, with maxed skills, etc... and it's really probably just chance. Who gets a lucky hi? Does that attack stun or is it resisted? It's dicey.

I love Zev, he's an excellent friend who I'd have no problem hanging out with, usually my group involves 4 people and I alternate them. Alistair, Zev, Dog, and Wynne, those are the one's that I prefer the most. But as far as romance, I've played DAO over a dozen times and I have yet been able to get past friendship with him. I have no desire too. For me Zev would be my bff but that's it. Alistair's my 1 and only main sqeeze lol.

Actually, no hatred.  I like Al quite a bit, which would be the reason I checked into this thread in the first place.  I also suggested that Ejoslin let all of you know that she has been working on a fix for all of those dialogues at the end, including Alistair's.

See, Zevran is always my char's BFF if she romances Alistair.  Always.  I love having Zevran as my best friend.

I am aware of this, but my point is that I like both, though I prefer Alistair. If I romance Alistair, then I make Zev my friend. I don't want to be called a barbi girl because I prefer Alistair. No need to go to war, I submit for the good of Ferelden.
