Anders was an Alistair clone, so it's possible they'll make another similar character.

Anders doesn't do it for me, so they're going to have to try harder if that's all they've got.  Of course, our party interaction was so limited in Awakening that it's probably not a good judge.

Ha, my husband hasn't said he's jealous.  He seems more confused.    I won't embarrass him by telling gooey stories, but there are definitely aspects of Alistair in how I fell for him and how he "wooed" me.  So I'm a pretty big fangirl for him, too.  <3

But mainly it just appears that I am a sucker for a Gaider love story- Zevran's and Morrigan's romance and Fiona-Maric included.  I just wish Bioware wouldn't screw with the delivery system so much.  (Oh, and someone pointed out that they don't usually go gaga over film romances etc.- that's me too.  I cry at all sorts of things in movies so I'm a softie, but typically find "romantic comedies" revolting unless it's a period film or something.)

I agree with you. Anders was nice enough in the looks department, but his personality didn't win me over like Alistair's did. I found him to be a bit too feminine, really. Perhaps if he'd have been introduced in a full-length game it may have been different.

Yeah, if I had to chose someone for my Queenie to romance, it would have been Nate, for the delicious drama:P

Same.  I'm interested in him as a character- I'd like to find out more about his backstory, for instance.  And he's fun enough to have along.  But doesn't move the squee-meter even a little.  Nathaniel does a bit, mainly for his voice.  But Awakening was just so sparse in the party interaction department that it's not fair to compare really.  There were plenty of banters, just not much PC interaction with them.  I was glad my crew liked each other, anyway.

Alistair and Zevran are desirable for different reasons.

My 16 year old sister loved Alistair for being goofy, and she was a HNF
While my 14 year old sister liked Zevran for soundling like Antonia Banderas (her fave celeb) while she was a HM.

Its awsome to listen to them argue, when it gets into the nitty gritty i have to turn up the tunes or flee.

I had thought that the Warden's story wasn't *just* about the Blight, though, that it was about fighting darkspawn whereever, even between blights. If Darkspawn are involved in DA2, wouldn't Wardens be involved, also? Including, potentially, the PC Warden and not-King-still-Warden Alistair? Did we ever get a reason why not-King-still-Warden Alistair wasn't in Awakening? (I was running the metagame items mod in that Origins playthrough, so I think my epilogue might have been bugged, I don't remember).

Alistair and Zevran are desirable for different reasons.

I'll take both.  Er... one per PC, you understand.    And no generic famous 25 year old male makes me sit at a computer for hours.

Yeah, it was the exact opposite for just about any other RPG out there. Your allies liked each other but didn't care for you much:lol:

I had the tulip one, same as my mother.

The cobalt was new though.

Edit: It has Alistair so it counts.
