I could make one that looked like me but, well, without mods the choices are kind of limited...

Edit: Plus that would limit my realistic origins quite a bit...

I don't.  Except I usually give them a slightly upturned nose.  Mine is slightly upturned, and I think it's adorable....and I'm not ashamed to say so.

PS3 Kara kind of looks like me, but that's accidental and probably more a nose thing than anything else?  I mean, our hair and eye colors are completely different, but there's a bit of a resemblence otherwise.

But no, I never make characters that purposefully look like me (except my Miis) because I'm rather critical of my own apearance and I like my characters are least semi-pretty.

Indeed!  I remember looking at my cousin's beautiful blonde hair and going 'it's sooooo unfaiiiiir!'
I clearly haven't quite come to terms with the fact that I will never be blonde

Dye your hair. I've been blonde several times in my life, though my natural haircolor is reddish-brown. In fact, my hair is just turning back to its natural color after being blonde.
