A Zevran DLC about his time with Tamlen and the girl whose name I forgot could be interesting actually. But I personally want a Sten DLC.
A Sten DLC I could get behind though.
He did? Shame.

I was wondering why the heck Kara had feathers in her hair while she was talking to the templar - then I realized that Morrigan was just really really close. She likes you and all, Morrigan, but space! Kara needs space!

True. Maybe chances of a Zev DLC are better than I thought then.Addai67 wrote...
As we see, forum input means jack-all when it comes to BW decision making. I saw Gaider say something like "if we bring someone back it will be because we like them." Whatever that means.Axekix wrote...

So that's where Gaider got it from...On the topic of the sexy templar: This G.R.R. Martin novella I'm reading reminds me of that story about Alistair in the grand melee. The protagonist is a good-hearted young hedge knight on the fringes of a big tournament. He's also a virgin.
I haven't finished the story yet but I'm hoping he wins the tourney. And... wait for it... his name is Ser Duncan!

Right-o. I've gotten used to doomsayers during the past weeks. I just thought that you meant that Hawke would have a set personality, like Geralt has.
I really don't care that much about DA2 tbh. I was simply giving my opinion about immersion in regards to the podcast I listed to the other night. Personally (opinion) I think having it switch between playing as Hawke to a narrative would break immersion more than having the PC VO.
I'm sure at the very least BioWare will make a decent action rpg that will be fun to play once or twice. DA2 just isn't at the top of my to-buy and/or preorder list.

Sten would be boring as hell. He's my least favorite companion and doesn't string more than 10 words together at any one time. I wouldn't pay for a Sten DLC.
Frankly if there were another Companion DLC I wouldn't mind Zevran, he at least would have interesting companions. 4 or 5 Qunari all in a group not talking or all male would be

One of the nice things about DA:O is choosing gender and class (My favorite is mag) and since Qunari don't have women who fight and they leash/maim their mages by cutting out their tongues it would really cut out two of the things I do enjoy about DA.

Sten's comrades were funny and talkative, as we see in his fade dream. And they could always buy a merc or two.
The real problem is that all of the DLCs have been disappointing so the idea of actually liking one is pie in the sky.

I found his companions as boring as he was actually. I don't hate him (I don't hate any of the companions in Origins) I just found him annoying with his "women don't fight" crap and "mages are beasts". When your favorite PC is a fem Mage, that usually puts him in the doghouse.
Him being so different vis a vis beliefs is precisely what makes him interesting for me. But I guess it's all about tastes.
Keep in mind however that Sten does refer to you as Kadan and still speaks of you highly in Par Vollen, even if you were a female and / or mage. That suggests that he can change his opinion.

The first of my PCs that really bonded with him was my blood mage. For some reason she unlocked all his secret dialogues. I was astounded.sylvanaerie wrote...

His comments about women never bothered me, any more than Shale's about humans. I think they're funny in fact. I love that you can ask him if he's flirting with you. LOL

I dunno that that's where he got it, though there are lots of similarities between Song of Ice and Fire and DAO. But I love that Alistair melee story, and this reminds me of it. Another similarity is that the protagonist just lost his mentor.Axekix wrote...

I would love to play a young Loghain, too. And Rowan. There are so many battles and stuff that get handwaved in TST, you could do a lot with that. Or replay them breaking through the Deep Roads and have Shale and Wilhelm make an appearance. Basically, this is just too good ever to come true.phaonica wrote...

Yes, KoP but that will all happen after he is done with Origins. If a DLC featured Sten (as a prequel) it would all be with his prejudices intact at that point. I can't stomach 4 Stens all badmouthing women and mages. I don't even think I can stomach playing a Sten in Par Vollen afterward surrounded by a slew of other Pre-Origin type Stens.
No thanks, you can have my share of them goodies.
Because you think a Sten DLC will be all about him bad mouthing women and mages?
I am sure he has more important things he needs to worry about.
And a DLC in Par Vollen, letting us explore Qunari civilisation and culture closer, would be awesome. But I guess not for everyone.

Considering the talk about not wanting to rehash ideas, and that everything dragon age related should bring something new I doubt that it will ever happen.

But that will never happen.
