I would love to play a young Loghain, too.  And Rowan.  There are so many battles and stuff that get handwaved in TST, you could do a lot with that.  Or replay them breaking through the Deep Roads and have Shale and Wilhelm make an appearance.  Basically, this is just too good ever to come true.

Considering the talk about not wanting to rehash ideas, and that everything dragon age related should bring something new I doubt that it will ever happen.

I'm sure you're right about this. On the one hand I"m Posted Image, but on the other hand... since they've said this, it makes me think that the anime will cover new ground and makes me far more curious about it than I expected to be.

And a DLC in Par Vollen, letting us explore Qunari civilisation and culture closer, would be awesome. But I guess not for everyone.

I would love that. But what could you be doing there? Fending off a boatload of Tevinterians?

Or hunting down Tal'Vashoth.

Yes, KoP but that will all happen after he is done with Origins. If a DLC featured Sten (as a prequel) it would all be with his prejudices intact at that point. I can't stomach 4 Stens all badmouthing women and mages. I don't even think I can stomach playing a Sten in Par Vollen afterward surrounded by a slew of other Pre-Origin type Stens.

No thanks, you can have my share of them goodies.

Because you think a Sten DLC will be all about him bad mouthing women and mages?
I am sure he has more important things he needs to worry about.

Yeah, actually getting to see a female Qunari would be interesting in itself.

That said, does Sten ever really badmouth women?

That may be true for sequels, but Leliana's Song wasn't new.

Now I so want my "Loghain and the Night Elves" mission.  Why do we do this to ourselves.

He doesn't.
He simply doesn't understand why women want to be warriors, because he was raised with the idea that everyone and everything has a predetermined place. But he NEVER suggested that women are inferior to men. In fact, under the Qun, all are equal.

Way to make a girl feel welcome, Alistair.

She looks pretty pissy.  What's her problem?

She had to live in the tower and deal with Jowan every day?

I don't see it as badmouthing.  To him it's as plain as the sky being blue.  He's just stating a fact as he sees it, and trying to come to terms with evidence to the contrary.  In fact it's sort of a compliment- he recognizes that the Warden is a fighter even though in his world that cannot be true.  And he does say later that he was wrong about you.  I love that interaction, as well, when you answer "I know" and he tells you to enjoy the moment.  LOL  I guess I love b*tchy people.  It endeared me to Morrigan, too.  (edit:  and Shale)

Neither do they hate mages. They just do what they think has to be done.

I think that the Qunari had a mageocracy once upon a time that was overthrown, and thus they do what they do.

Actually I would be more interested in a Morrigan DLC, learning more about her life prior to the Warden. Or even Post Origins, where did she go, esp if the DR was refused.

She would be infinitely more interesting to me than Sten and his history.

No? I think it would be cool seeing what happened to her before (I highly doubt we would get an after but since this is 'dream' DLC chat, just saying what I would find interesting).  I think it would be interesting to see what kind of adventures she got into before meeting the warden.

And she combines my two favorite combination of PC, a female mage.

I think that the odd roving band of templars and excursions into the city would be as interesting as it gets. More interesting than Wynne, dog or Alistair backstory, but I think that all others have a higher potential for such an DLC.

I have faith DGaider and crew could come up witih something more interesting than that and hell imagine Claudia Black narrating?  If nothing else that makes it better by at least 10 notches on the good scale.

A Zevran DLC about his time with Tamlen and the girl whose name I forgot could be interesting actually. But I personally want a Sten DLC.

Heh, Taliesen.  Unless Zevran suddenly beame Dalish and joined the Mahariel clan, which would be interesting but doesn't seem to have happened.  ;)

I now have the mental image of clan Mahariel being the Dalish tribe that Zevran tried to join but 'didn't quite fit in' with...Posted Image

IIRC, didn't Zev get the most votes in the least favorite companion poll thread?

A Sten DLC I could get behind though.

He did? Shame.

That doesn't make him  unpopular, just polarizing (Alistair and Morrigan are much the same way). And, bisexuality and free love aside, I think the fact that he's the only companion that if you ignore the whole game ends up attacking you and trying to kill you again is what ends up doing it.

I would like to see Alistair pre-Ostagar with the other Wardens.  And Dog could have all sorts of stories.  He lost a master- who was that master?  Where did he come from?  What happened to make him sick?  Just imagine that and then the DLC ends with an appearance of one of your Wardens and Dog recognizing a new master.

This is the one DLC where I'd actually love a voiced protagonist.  LOL

Well, if Dog's the same Dog in all origins then his master fled from Castle Cousland and darkspawn got her in the Korcari Wilds.

Alistair Pre-Ostagar would be interesting, if it focused on his first battles and relationship with Duncan. But Alistair in a temple studying...umm no. Again I doubt Gaider and the other writers would subject us to that, I'm sure they would do something interesting with him.

Leliana's Song was fun and short and a nice excursion into her past.

I wouldn't mind a Zevran or a Dog story. Wynne would be boring as hell. Oghren might be interesting. See his past with Branka maybe, the fight in the Provings that was his downfall, his slide into the alcohol fueled warrior you, the Warden, meets.

Ah, true.  I forgot about the Couslands.

We've already seen plenty of Oghren in Awakening, so if he'd get a DLC that would be way overkill.

Well Dog's ONLY with the PC at the start in one origin tale.  There are 5 others where you get the one in Ostagar. You're right about Oghren, I didn't think of him being in Awakenings cause I told him get lost when he wanted to join the GW's so I didn't have him but for a few minutes at the start.

I still think my top pick for DLC companion story would be Morrigan.  But then I am prejudiced.  I really love the character and find her personality a lot of fun. I love her voice actress (which would make her beat out Zevran) and I love her class and the fact that she is female.  I guess it wouldn't happen that we would get 2 female PC stories back to back but just saying, thats the one I would be the most interested in.

ToP...Not a lot of new Ali pics, i've been working on my fic mostly the past week.  Got this doing some testing for something in Redcliffe though.
