For
all steaks, it comes down to the same thing.  I happen to use a propane
grill because it is easier, but this would be true of a charcoal grill
as well.

Step 1) Get the grill as hot as it can possibly can.
You want heat, heat, heat.
Step 2) Prep grill grates to prevent any
sticking.  You can use oil, if you want, but I discovered Weber
Non-Stick Grill Spray last summer and it is fabulous.
Step 3)
Put steak on the grill and DO NOT TOUCH IT!!!  I
cannot emphasize this point enough.  The only time you want to touch it
is to turn it.
Step 4) Grill the steak for 1 minute per each 1/4" of
thickness per side.  So for a 1.5" filet, you would do 6 minutes a
side.  If you want pretty grill marks, about halfway through the cooking
for each side, turn it 45 degrees.
Step 5) When the steaks are done,
let them rest for 5 minutes.  This is the perfect time to add a little
butter to the top.
Step 6) Eat!

I think you just won this thread.

I'm inclined to agree.

Woohoo!  I would make an awesome wife.  *gets on that*

Edit:  Also, for a good thick steak, get some thick cut bacon and wrap the outside, using a toothpick on each side to hold it place.  If you do that, I would recommend skipping the butter.  And if you haven't yet, find yourself a good local butcher or meat market.  They will cut steaks to to order and the price is usually very reasonable.  $9-$10/lb.  So everyone gets filet mignon for basically $5 a steak.  And if you follow the above directions, it will be better than anything you've had in a restaurant.  I don't even get steak at restaurants anymore b/c I've ruined myself on my home-grilled ones.

And so am I!

I only recently found the "I'm not sure yet" option and I'm using that one every time from now on. Also, I love that it's the first kiss between the two of you - I used to be the one who initiated it as well because I was so addicted to Alistair approval (I wanted that +2 you get for the first kiss) but you STILL get the +2 if you initiate a kiss after he has so... *swoon*.

Bacon makes everything better!  Okay I'm seriously going to go eat now, you're driving me crazy :pinched:

And it makes so much more SENSE! I never understood that "So I fooled you did I? Good to know" bit. I'm still swooning, I mean THINK about how much courage it took for him to make that move! It's one thing to actually ask the question, but for him to be so brave as to kiss you, after you said you werenn't sure.../die

In the Sims 2, there's an animation you can get after a good kiss where the kissed party sort of stumbles forward a little bit. It's cartoony, but I wish my PC would do the same thing after the "Well, is it too soon for this?" kiss, because...damn.

You ain't kidding. Maybe if I wasn't an idiot with a tendancy to break my game I would have a few of my own.

I'm so torn, my Dalish mage is supposed to be miss shy, and sweet and innocent..so it makes sense she'd take her time. But Gah!! He's right there, speaking, eyes warm like a sparkling fire... (Take THAT Morrigan)

Speaking of Alistair kisses (do go on...), I have to say that now that the bug in the vanilla tent scene kiss has been fixed, that it's rocketed up to my favorite.

It could only be more win if he reached down and pawed her a little.  LOL

Ok, well the kisses in tmp's scenes are pretty damn great, too.

Aren't they? My only issue is that my love of giving my PC's excessive nose-age causes some minor clipping into Ali's face. Oh well, it's still hot. You all should be glad that I've spared your retinas from pics of my PC trying out tmp's Leliana scene. Rowr.
