Lol grumpy you always make me laugh. And trust me that's not easy to do. You're alright. {smilie}

Thank you..."wink! wink! say no more". You're not bad yourself.

Lol, Grumpy. Some modern "art" makes me want to die. My dad insisted we go to the Guggenheim once and spent the entire time complaining because the main exhibit was a big column of mirrors and the "artist" had taped little strips of colored tape all around the interior. It was pretty lame. There was another exhibit that was like, an empty room with a bicycle wheel in it. Sigh xD

Lmao!

Tate modern is a pretentious cesspit of the worst britain has to offer as art.  I once saw a giant penis talk cockney slang there and a room where lights switch on and off.  Isn't art mean't to have a point? who wants to see that sort of crap? bah!

That was the expression on my face afterwards. I don't recommend going to the Tate, unless you like trash art.

As a helpful gift I'll tell you it's my birthday and then any time you kill the thread you can revive it by posting a naked picture of Alistair as a birthday greeting. I won't see them until I come home drunk, but that'll be all the more fun.

That should be good for five thread-kills or so before someone starts complaining they're sick of the picture.

Edit: Happy birthday! Posted Image

In case I don't get home from work until too late again, here's Alistair doing his SNL impression.

I had that remark on my "normal" mage, but not when I played my Dalish mage.

And to add: it came up if you ask the templar (forgot his name) about news for the second time. First time he tells about Eamon being ill, second time he mentions that the Right of Anullment (spelling?)  has been called for the tower.

Ah, ok, thanks.  The things you miss if you don't click!

Oh, for Song of Ice and Fire fans:  It really is worth it to pick up that book that contains the original short story the series is based on.  It's called "The Hedge Knight" and is in a collection of his shorter works called Dreamsongs, vol. 2.  It's set before the time of SoIaF events.  Alistairish and Duncanish in its themes, and it made me cry, though it's more hopeful than some of the later stuff.

Friday afternoon silliness! A discussion with Sandtigress regarding Alistair hopping borders led me to this:

Alistair: I thought there would be, you know, travel involved. But so far "border hopping" seems a lot like making me blush. Nakedly.
Zevran: Oh, my handsome templar. All journeys need to start somewhere, do they not?
Alistair: *blushes*
Zevran: Posted Image

Then Sandi pointed out that there would be massages and oils and baths, etc. until Alistair got the clue and ran off to hide behind his fellow Warden. So...

Ron: You got all the way to the naked bathing and massage oils before you figured out what was going on?
Alistair: He told me it was an Orlesian custom and they'd make fun of me if I went there smelling like wet dog.
Ron: I wouldn't believe that and I'm Dalish.
Alistair: I was raised by the Chantry!
Ron: And you make fun of me for falling for "It's cold in my tent."
Alistair: I'll never say anything ever again if you forget this happened.
Ron: Deal. I have to warn you though, only the Creators know what you'll have to agree to to keep Zevran from talking.
Zevran: *lurking in hallway* Perhaps an Antivan Milk Sandwich?
Alistair: Oooh, is Antivan Milk a type of cheese?
Ron: *sigh*

There are two more short stories:

- The Sworn Sword
- The Ice Dragon

The last one is more of a childrens story, but the first one has the same main figure as The Hedge Knight. I liked them both! At least those are the ones I found here in The Netherlands....but maybe they are also in your version?

And here's a little less risque version. Finally that silly cup on the armor was useful for something... easy access for the box! :D

If you haven't seen the SNL skit, you really have to. One of the funniest things ever. Step 1... cut a hole in the box..

Again, Happy Birthday!

I believe it's when you're talking to Ser Bryant.  You can keep bugging him for news, and he says something like "Not unless you care to hear about the mages" and you can tell him you were going to ask them for help.  He'll tell you then about the Rite of Annullment being called for and what not, and Alsitair gives you the line in the picture.

Edit: So ninja'd ...I should finish reading the thread before I respond...

"The Sworn Sword" is in a different volume called Legends II.  According to Wikipedia there is a new one out called "The Mystery Knight."  Oh and I have to correct myself, SoIaF is not based on "The Hedge Knight."  The series was well under way when he wrote it after having been asked for a submission of a short story.  He wrote it as a prequel so as not to give away any SoIaF spoilers.
