The main resource browser is called Palette Window you use it to view the game's various files. Click the little comic speech bubble Icon called Conversation you should now see a bunch of folders with different names like Debug, Followers, and Main Plot. The Followers folder contains all the companion dialog files open up your companion of choice for example Leliana who's main conversation tree file is simply called leliana doubleclick to open it and now you can view her dialogue tree.

You mean the dialogue at Goldanna's, right?  I was wondering if there were any other differences, like in the "where do you see this going" dialogue.  I guess if he's not king you wouldn't get him in the post-LM, right, just Anora?  Ick.  That's the worst part about her being sole ruler- having to see her face a few more times.

I think you at least get a 'thanks for not making me King' speech.

I don't see a Followers folder.  It says Core Soundsets, Demo, and Writer's Comp.  But I'm not even sure I'm IN the toolset.  Up top it says Demo Tutorial.

You're in the Demo not the main game. Go to File then Manage Modules select Single Player and then Open that will load the main game's files.

All in all, though, it's been great to show off the gameplay. Lots of folks leaving pretty excited, and a ton of huge fans of Origins coming up to say hello, which is always nice. I even saw an "I [Dragon] Alistair" T-Shirt in the crowd, and it was no surprise when she asked if any characters will be making a return appearance. I wonder which one she was really hoping to see....

My answer: "You'll see some familiar faces. I don't think you'll be disappointed."

now, would he tell an obvious Alistair fan she is likely not to be disappointed by which characters make a return appearance, if Alistair wasn't going to appear? Maybe, but maybe not.

I think Alistair will only appear as a rumor or gossip in the  DA2

There can be various things which they are not allowed to spell out yet, because it doesn't match the grand advertising plan their PR department has devised and whatnot. The "we're not yet ready to talk about it" is a pretty standard phrase in DA2 part of the forum... so it could be that.

No I was in exactly the same place months ago, cursing at the screen and utterly baffled as to why I couldn't see anything in the actual game. I believe I called the toolset a motherfracking time vampire, needless to say I was less than happy with the learning curve.

No, you can't. Alistair will leave if unhardened no matter what and only stay if hardened to marry Anora. If Anora's not on the throne, Loghain's not going to live.
