And I like practicing Photoshop, so I like making random stuff. My laptop () had tons of random stuff on it.

If you'd like to pay 500 dollars for it, sure. I, however, got mine as a gift from my father (of course, photoshop replaced my gifts for Christmas and my birthday but it was super-duper worth it). I tried using Gimp while I was looking for my Photoshop disc and I nearly died. Using Gimp is what made me find my disc finally:P

KoP, I used Powerpoint to make all of mine, actually.  PP 2010 (and probably 2007 to a large extent) does pretty decent graphics processing if you want to do simple things.  That's how I made all the figures for my Masters thesis, for instance.
