His posture looks... really weird.
And rotts are a superior breed!  "War dog" indeed. :D

  Hopefully you have a save where you can go back and leave Ali at the gates.  If he was ever in love with your PC, he's going to take the final blow.

Even if he's KOed? I could let him get knocked out during the fight --then technically, he shouldn't get up until it's over.

I have a save way back in Redcliffe Castle just before Morrigan makes her offer, but nah. This Warden made her bed and she'll have to sleep in it. . .alone. Unless Sluggo the dog climbs in, of course.

I think it's the PC's posture that is a little stiff.  But she's probably sore from the night's activities.  Let's go with that.

Oh, and I like Rotts, too, but I think we already established this!

He'll wake up.  There's a damsel he loves in distress and it calls him back.

Just don't expect anyone else to care!  As in, your comrades in arms.

Wynne cared a bit. She said "Poor boy", at least. But you're right; no one else took notice. I just realized I didn't see Shale to talk to afterwards. Is she not there because she's DLC, or did I just miss her? And I couldn't interact with the dog at all. He just kept digging at the carpet next to Sten.

Hi Ron.  :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

Just so you all know, I said "Helloooo, Ron" in the tone and manner of Seinfeld greeting Newman.

Edit for ToP:
The sexiest man in SurelyForth's camp is soooo not Ron F. Mahariel, and I have photographic evidence to prove it.

Quoted for awesome Angry Maricstair.

Ron looks pretty sweet in the Shadow Warden Armor. (This picture makes me laugh because I imagine Morrigan being all "So now I'm to be another conveniently placed object to obscure Alistair's *eyeroll* offerings. How perfectly repugnant.")

I also didn't believe Morrigan when she said that Flemeth sent her with the Wardens to help save their lives by this ritual. No, Flemeth sent her out to get seeded with this baby --and remember, this was when Flemeth had planned to find Morrigan and possess her body.

What difference does that make? She sent Morrigan with you to have the baby that can only have the soul of the Old God if that soul doesn't get kill you and get destroyed in the process. It's not one or the other, both happen. And why should anyone at all believe that Flemeth personally cared about two people she'd barely spoken to enough to want to save their lives once the Blight was over? Morrigan never claims that this is the case, even.

Morrigan said something to the effect that because it's an unborn child, the Archdemon's soul could enter it without killing it. That was one of her selling points to me --imagine the soul of an Old God set free in a human person instead of being trapped beneath the earth and eventually found and twisted by Darkspawn! (presuming that the Darkspawn didn't come to the surface looking for this child, of course.)

And no, we would have been fools to think that Flemeth plucked the last two Wardens out of the fire and then sent her daughter with us as a helper just out of the goodness of her heart. We just didn't know why she really did it. Once Morrigan explained, it became clear that Flemeth wanted Morrigan (who would soon become Flemeth) to have this baby. Why? So she could possess it in time? Or just command it? I didn't really want to find out.

I know all of this.

What I don't get is why you said you don't believe Morrigan when she says that Flemeth wants to save you and Alistair/Loghain and THAT'S the point of the ritual because I don't recall her ever saying anything of the sort. It's more of a win-win situation as far as she can see: she gets her baby and you get to live.

Honestly, I would rather she hadn't said anything. Her 'oh yes, poor boy. But people want to gawk at living things. And by 'things' I mean you' really pissed me off. She was so bloody dismissive of his sacrifice. It's worse with Loghain, though, because regardless of what he'd done before if he dies slaying the Archdemon and saves us all then he deserves far better than a self-righteous 'He could hardly expect more' from Wynne. She didn't deny that she would get something out of it as well (although again, I seriously doubt she wanted the baby just out of maternal feeling). But she did say something to me about how part of Flemeth's purpose in sending Morrigan was not just for her help along the way but to be available for this ritual which would save the Wardens. Again, it was just her way of trying to sell me the idea.

She does mention you'll live and expect that to do most of the convincing. She does NOT try to make it seem like the point of the ritual is to save your life. She admits before you even ask that the point is to get a child and the reason you're expected to care is because this will let you live. You're not expected to believe that she just wants kids or is doing this out of the goodness of her heart because she never tries to see you that.

Power to the MILFs! [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

I for one, welcome our new MILF overlords.

We shall rule with a firm yet gentle hand, and take good care of all our subjects :D

You're a MILF?!  I had no idea...

...

How you doin'? B)

I think I've watched Friends too much... I can't read that line without hearing Joey's voice, and wanting to give a chin nod & raised eyebrow "How you doin'?" in return.  I'm more MILF by age association, since I'm not actually a mother. I guess that would make me a cougar instead. I'm not sure how I feel about that. :? Although I did date someone 12 years younger than I am last weekend, and I do have Alistair pictures all over my computer, soo... hmmm.

Actually, I think the reason we're expected not to care about what this child will be or why she wants it so badly is because her having it will let us live.

And Surely, your profile updated with Ron! <3 The big question though... has he put on any clothes in your profile? I have to keep tabs on all of these  tan lines, you know.

Gonna jump in here. I agree with you, Morwen, I think Morrigan is so sure that you'll jump at the chance to live that she really doesn't understand why you'd question it at all.

I haven't been able to turn down the ritual yet. One of my characters just really didn't care about the consequences and didn't question, just like Morrigan expected. And one of my characters *really* didn't want to do it, but couldn't give up her LI. Image IPB
