So I'm about to ask a question that may offend those of you who dislike a certain red-haired, Orlesian bard. But did any of you play Leliana's Song? I'm not going to waste money on it and the wiki doesn't really provide a good summary about what happened during it. So could someone just tell me what happened in the DLC to sate my curiosity?

I think we all know my feelings on her...but I actually kind of liked the DLC.  The story itself wasn't anything earth shattering.  The way it was done was pretty cool though.

They're really short - 500 words or less each and I'm only on the second letter.  They'll take you no time at all!    Limiting myself to daily release at the earliest!

Yeah, but I'm kind of burnt out of DA right now, so I don't really want to buy something for it that I will only play once. Not to mention I'm depressed 'cause I lost Neve and Arden in the Great Laptop Tragedy of 2010 (Oh Maker, why??? They were so young! -sob- ).

I'm sure that's based on the Mike Laidlaw "tease."  They are obviously keeping SV in the dark til the last minute, too.  Maybe waiting to see if they have VA budget left over?

I tried playing it this weekend but after about 10 minutes said "this is dumb" and quit.  Part of it was my teeth being on edge from Leliana's little comments every 10 seconds, but I also found it confusing.  I'm probably not the best judge to go by.

:crying: "I will enjoy watching the noblewomen fight over him." That line killed me. I never really thought about Oren's life being cut short, I just thought about him as a child that was killed. But that just made me think about all he'll miss.

No, I'm not sad over a video game character! I'm just cutting onions, hence the watery eyes.

Though the "And especially don't bring back another wife!" line made me laugh:lol:

Heh, well he grew up in the Wilds, so it fits really.  I don't go swoony over him, but he's cute and likable so I can understand why women do.

His voice bothers me, but he is surprisingly dear (and about ten times the person Jory is) and handsome. I don't know how to vote, probably "yes, if you have another robe to give to Alistair" or "no, but parading him around for a few minutes can't hurt anyone."

But I just realized that he's going to die soon, anyway, so Alistair can still get the robe...if he's willing to wear something that's probably covered in Joining Death Blood.

Hehe yeah, I figure that maybe Fergus had gone out to Antiva for other reasons then fell madly in love and just brought her home.    It sounds like a Fergus thing to do to me!

And yeah, thinking about what Oren might have done in his life made me sad too.   

But!  Since Alistair is not (yet) on the scene, I do have a thread for these over in the Community Creations forum, so that we do not overtake Alistair's thread with yet another off-topic topic!

I just like to keep Alistair in the splintmail for a while.  It's a classic.

In other news from Ostagar, I realized that tmp's weapons VFX mod takes care of the annoying blue flame from the Wings of Velvet staff!   It used to turn NPCs into ghouls if they got too close to it, so I stopped using it except occasionally for Morrigan.  That was a sad thing since it's a really good staff.

Question.. I know alot of you guys have Alistair in modded armor. How do you avoid the freakish deformities that occur when you get too far away from him? I lived with it in camp but the first time it happend outside  I had to put him back in vanilla. Are there mods out there where this doesn't happen?

I have noticed no such deformities??
The only thing I've noticed is how freakishly good looking he is in Shadow Armor, Runic Armor and Pious.
