I really wish Alistair didnt take the Loghain descion so hard, but I am not an executioner and cant kill someone like that. <besides Caledrius, Vaughan, and a few others>
But if you had to guess could Alistair ever forgive a friend for sparing Loghain or is this something Unforgiveable? Thanks.

I think it's borderline.
If he was married to Anora that might have some bearing on his ability to forgive assuming that he and Anora eventually had a reasonable relationship. Alternatively, if you spared Loghain and married him to Anora then he might never forgive you for either.
I think storming off to be drunken exiled Alistair may be able to forgive eventually although considering how messed up he seems to get I might be wrong there. I assume he becomes a wandering drunk as a result of his own shame at abandoning his duty as well as the sparing Loghain decision. In time it's possible that his own shame would overtake his feeling of resentment or... his bitterness might grow towards the person he sees as responsible for putting him in that position ( the other warden)
So... In conclusion I think forgiveness would be possible but it would be dependant on the circumstances and maybe even the friend in question.
That's so unhelpful, isn't it? Sorry!
But then , Loghain almost always loses his head in my games, and I'm terrible at answering these sorts of things so I'm gonna disappear into the night again.

I have never gone that route but I would like to think eventually he would forgive you. Perhaps be a little more understanding at the time if he knew about what happens when a grey warden kills the archdemon. I also think he would feel guilt and regret if you did the US. I can see, after the anger and feelings of betrayal fade a bit, Alistair convincing himself that his leaving contributed to the warden's death.

Nothing puts out a flaming pc besides cone of cold/blizzard I believe, although I could be wrong.
Leliana "volunteers" to be experimental subject.

Maker, is Alistair sexy when he does that.

True. If Alistair was at hostile I think that would just feed his resentment at the warden and himself for failing Duncan and the wardens. He would have no reason (regret at the loss of love or friendship) to even consider forgiveness.

And before I get bashed for dissing Leliana , I find it almost as funny when other characters get set on fire/ fall over/ have an unfortunate weapon placement through their crotch. Even Alistair. I would post an example but I'm too lazy and the unfortunate weapon placement looks

Oh I agree! Grease trap is my favorite, especially after the fight is over and they just walk around falling down. I... may... be guilty of walking companions over it on purpose.

Personally, I think he'd find it unforgivable. I mean, you're sparing the person who killed the closest thing to a father he's ever had, and well as his brother--and his king, not to mention the only friends he had in the world. Doesn't get much worse than that.

As for Alistair and forgiveness, he seems to soften a little if Loghain dies killing Archie. If Loghain lives out his days as a Grey Warden, and especially if Ali is saddled to the Ice Princess, I'm not thinking you'd get many invitations to nip down to the pub.

LOL I've feared doing that before. Nothing like barging into a serious thread with a nekkid Alistair pic. Not like posting in this thread doesn't already destroy our ability to be taken seriously anywhere else on the board.Yankee23 wrote...
Ha ha... I just posted a sad Alistair wondering why his thread was so quite in a "How would a Dalish Elf Warden judge Jowan" thread. I need to be more careful when reading multiple threads at once. Talk about off topic.
