As far as I'm concerned, everyone not in the party stays at Redcliffe keeping an eye on Connor and is ready to do the ritual with Isolde if the demon tries anything or, if they notice too late, kill Connor. That the demon feels the need to just sulk about in the hall outside Eamon's room for two days is just all the better to get a happy ending.cmessaz wrote...

@Blightsword- My mages always kill Isolde. Tbh it's the right thing to do imo, even though the game doesn't show, you know lives will be lost because of the long trip to the tower. In fact my nobles are the only ones who go to the tower. And have you ever let Jowan out of jail and had him meet you upstairs? You thought her screaching was bad before...

Yes, if you do it right you can get away with only losing 7 points with Alistair. And since I've spent so much time on his dialogue, I know what to say to get max approval so I really don't miss those points. Plus angry Alistair is super sexy.okiness wrote...

Well, if I played the same way every time I wouldn't play anymore, so I have no problem doing the questionable thing on some playthroughs anyway.Sarah1281 wrote...

Killing Connor is a lot harder IMO. I still kind of feel like a heel for that one.

I wasn't trying to tell you how to play the game or anything, just explaining how I can justify going to the Tower without really risking anyone not inside the castle dying. Technically, he could kill everyone in the castle and start on the village but most of the party should be able to stop him even if there's some collateral damage inside.cmessaz wrote...

@Sarah- no need to justify saving both, I do it with my nobles, because of Oriana and Oren. I'm just saying saving both COULD be considered wrong. Just depends on my character.

Yeah that's what Idun did too, 'cept she's not against blood magic (being the "maleficar with a heart of gold" that she is) but there's no freaking way she is letting Jowan cast it.cmessaz wrote...
@Addai- yeah my city elf kills Connor. Why? Because she annuls the circle and is anti-blood magic. You can always find a way to rp different scenarios! It is definitely one of the most emotional parts of the game and is worth doing once to see how well done it was imo.
It is very sad. I felt like such a lunk going past Connor's room and not seeing him in there.

I've killed her before as well as let Jowan out. That just made me fly into a homicidal rage. It wasn't pretty.
Normally I go to the tower just to make Alistair happy. Because I'm a sap. But my mage is romancing Morrigan, so all the more excuse to end her.
I'm a sap too. I've tried out the other options, since after all this time you have to have different playthroughs (and I do enjoy a good Isolde killing). But usually, I make Alistair happy, just because.

What's the non-game-mechanic justification for not doing it herself? Keeping her blood mage status secret? Not knowing how to do the ritual?Addai67 wrote...

I've only ever killed Connor once, and I'd annuled the cirlce so the mages weren't going to be any help and my PC didn't trust Jowan, but being able to knock Isolde out was rather satisfying. I usually go to the tower though because I'm a sap as well

At the very least she'd need another mage. Plus I don't think she'd be up on such spells enough to do it. She only started using blood magic as a Warden. She might have tried it if there was, say, a spare Dalish keeper on hand.Sarah1281 wrote...
