@cmessaz: Are you gonna make him king? I don't know how anyone can make an unhardened Alistair king if they're in loe with him. If you're gonna run off into the sunset with him, though, that's cool.

Eh... :/ He's still much happier about it if he's hardened. And look at the ending slide. I just can't do that to Alistair AND Ferelden. And I think it would upset my character.

What does the unhardened Alistair king slide say? I've never made unhardened Alistair king (nor would I really want to, tbh).

So, unfortunately my theories on the toolset aren't panning out. So I am going to do a system restore to see if I can just get back to where I was, though it doesn't seem likely that will work. If not, I think I'm screwed, I can't think of anything that I haven't tried yet. I don't want to scrap the mod, but I may not have a choice.

lol. Cheater! You can totally rp it, but it helps if you've done Redcliffe and Sacred Ashes first. That wasy your char gets to see how Alistair reacts to different people trying to use him for stuff.
I wish that the hardening was tied into Eamon putting him forward as the heir. The way he takes what you say to him, about needing to stand up for himself, fits better with that scenario than it does with the Goldanna situation (since Goldanna's is more of a WTF? sort of thing, while Eamon outright manipulates him into taking a huge risk that he is distinctly uncomfortable with taking).

Basically Eamon gets what he wants. More power. Alistair isn't interested in ruling, but people like him.yukidama wrote...

He's popular with the people but travels a lot to avoid court and lets his chancellor do all the work.
If you want lots of power, become unhardened Alistair's Chancellor. You're pretty much in control.

Basically, that while he was popular with the people, he showed little interest in learning to rule, and spent a lot of time away from court, though the people didn't know it was attempting to escape what he hates.

Does it mean it can't save Alistair's dialog even when it's completely fresh install with nothing but default database? I mean if you just do the default install, check out his dialogue and try to save it, it still flips out?cmessaz wrote...

That's.. bizzare. I wonder now if uninstalling the SQL thing actually removes the database too, or if it stays behind and messes things up for the re-install...cmessaz wrote...

Well pshhh that settles it. As for actually saying the words, I think it fits every origin to say that line to him. I find it easy to say as a noble, because that's something your parents would have taught you, plus the whole Howe attack. But every other origin pretty clearly learns that lesson, most times the hard way. And it's fresh enough in their minds to be jaded enough to tell Alistair that. Look at it as the mercigul thing to do.

I tried removing MySQL seperately, and that didn't work. I discovered that something was still using it in my system processes, so I ended that, then uninstalled again. Didn't work. I am really out of options, here. There must be something corrupted somewhere. *sad that her database management and programming class was cancelled so I don't know enough*tmp7704 wrote...
